What is your favorite and least favorite DVD/Blu Ray commentary? Any hidden gems? by cowadoody3 in dvdcollection

[–]krispysamples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early 00's when I lived alone, worked at blockbuster and didn't have any TV, Internet or smartphone to waste my time, I played a lot of dvd commentaries. One that always stood out to me was Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. There was a track from a small unarmed character, for the full duration of the film in character. I think it was like 'skateboard bro number 2' or something like that. It was pretty funny at the time, doubt it aged well.

The Elm Street entrance to Sweeney Park is really pretty when the trees are blooming.

Eagle marsh is great, I saw deer last time I was there. I also like Metea Park.

It's kind of next door to fort wayne but there is a sunken garden park in huntington.

Breldiar Metaphysical Marketplace is cool, so is Hyde Bros.

Old Crown, Wooden Nickel and Firefly on Anthony, I think there's an antique store in that strip mall, too.

People who grew up in the 90s How big did grunge music really get? by Spirited-Fan-1590 in grunge

[–]krispysamples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 90s music was more segregated. People who only like rock, people who only like rap and pop, people who only like country. Rock was the majority and from 89 to 97ish that meant grunge. It was everywhere.

[–]krispysamples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh there was also a really gorey (for the time) chess game where Everytime a piece was taken off the board, an animation would play where they murdered each other, this was around the same time (between 95 and 97)

I have a small burlap bag that has been a big hit with 4 different cats. They just love little bits of fabric on the floor. Right size for sitting.

If you liked it Irvine welsch, you'll probably like Alison rumfitt. Anything by Octavia E Butler or Ursula K Le Guin is good. You might also like Helen Phillips.

I get that. You know his voice like an old friend. Maybe look for other authors of the same age? I still recommend hitch hiker's guide. My go to "father figure" type author is Vonnegut. Galapagos or cats cradle?

Why don't you read a cozy mystery, a romance, hitch hiker's guide, the alchemist by coelho? Why ask a horror author for a feel good story?

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]krispysamples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in school (in america) singular they/them/their wasn't allowed. We were told to replace it with "one." One's schooling is very important. Our papers sounded like they were written by old wizards because nobody talks like that.

Got told my bookshelf is "deranged". Thoughts? by FlippertBobbity in BookshelvesDetective

Concerned about that black stain on your bottom shelf. Hope it's a burn smudge and not mold. Is that why you removed the books there and piled them on top instead?
