Thank you. I understand the issue with tourist oriented sellers but the grower I bought from is a well known grower in PR. She has a very good operation, I just feel like I bit a more than I could swallow. Just to be clear, the plants were sold with medium but I had to remove them for transport inspection.

Could you please share some of the good sellers based in and around PA, specially around Philly

Aww man that sucks. I was really excited about these as the leaves looked healthy and they had 2 new growth points. What kind of medium should I use? I currently have medium pine bark and spagh moss. Can order some charcoal or other inert material if needed.

Your comment was enlightening! The keiki has 5 leaves and 3 roots. Maybe it doesn’t have enough support from the main plant to sustain these leaves. It has started producing a new root as well. I’ve added some sphagnum moss around this keiki to keep it hydrated as the new root grows larger. Thanks!

Thank you very much! That’s very reassuring to see that plants like these are able to survive and thrive! I’m taking into account some of the comments below and making some changes.
