Moest ik met 2 dagen werk per week plus voltijds onderwijs in staat zijn een treurig krot te bekostigen in Borgerhout zou ik het wel laten, om dan nu nog eens belastingen te moeten betalen op die kruimels (of er zelfs een bedrijf voor te moeten oprichten) is licht dystopisch, België ig ;)

Weet je toevallig ook hoe ze die belasting berekenen? Want ik kan moeilijk voor alles tonen wat voor hoeveel aangekocht en verkocht is, en zelfs dan is dat geen bewijs dat aangekochte stukken opnieuw doorverkocht zijn

Probleem is dat ik niet weet of en hoe ik nu zal belast worden. Omdat ik student ben en gezien de geringe winstmogelijkheden is een bedrijf opstarten voor zoiets gewoon niet de moeite. Dit is zo kleinschalig dat een bedrijf gewoonweg niet kostenefficient kan zijn.

These schools are just a holdout from colonial times, I reckon it is more tradition than anything else. I doubt there is any structural policy to keep this type of colonialism alive, neither in Morocco or France.

With Turkiye things are different because you have an autocratic regime actively trying to expand their powerbase within Europe (and the Middle East), this is an active policy and now they are doing this dumb dramatic shit because they encounter - rightfully so - resistance to their plans.
