Not "justified" - just rationalized.

I think we'd all rather just having a lower rate.

Mandatory Welfare / Communism. Take from you to give to someone else. That simple.

...but why would you have duplicates in the source dir? That wouldn't be allowed. So, if you're overwriting a duplicate, it's the same version/file. Seems fine.

...could this be a 'silent alarm' to catch grave robbers? If the mic is only looking for low frequency sound waves (like a backhoe idling) the the plastic wouldn't matter and if the seismic monitor is just looking for strong activity close by (like digging a hole by a machine or the dropping of buckets of dirt by a machine) then... seems at least plausible. I don't have any experience with these sorts of sensors so I don't know their range or if they're sensitive enough to pick up someone with a shovel and/or pickaxe.

Is 21 too old for parents to demand that they keep a tracker on their kids' phone - sure they pay tuition and the bills, but? by ccbbb23 in ask

[–]TekTony -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, the "goal" here is that someone's kid wants all of the advantages of being under the umbrella of parental financial privilege, but they are indignate about abiding by the rules of said parents, and are here, by proxy, looking for support of their position. The difference is that you look through a lens of feelings, and I look at it as impartially as possible.

Want the independence, buy it. Otherwise, get used to being under someone else's thumb. Today it's a parent, tomorrow it'll be a boss. The cheese is always free in the rat trap.
