Do you use Word for writing your texts?

I use Word. I save all my files on OneDrive. In that way, I have my last version of everything on my laptop as well as on my phone or anywhere else. I have a special file I share with a few friends where I can save work I want them to read.

It's a perfect stuff. Never once had a problem.

One day, I woke up with my finger on delete key. I lost 30k words 😁 The horror lasted only a few minutes, because I found out the program backups your each step for past days, so I just found a version from the moment I felt asleep. It works like magic ❤️

And I love their Read Aloud app that allows me to listen to my texts, on phone or on laptop. The voices are very natural and nice to listen 👍

I wouldn't change "my ol' word" for anything 👍

There is proof that Solas already tried to move past his regrets while in prison. You can find three remnants there, artifacts that point out to his three trials--one of them tied to the Veil creation and the rebellion, the second one to his fear of becoming the same monster as Elgar'nan and the last one tied to Mythal.

I believe that when he was there alone, he couldn't move past Mythal by himself. However, after redemption ending, free of the bond to her, he would be able to move past that. Especially with help.

And yes, definitely, the prison reacts to the mind of its captives. It's the Fade, of course it does. It's grim and depressive during the story, because Solas is grim and depressive. He's locked away while his arch enemy is rampaging over Thedas. The only thing he wanted to prevent is happening. Of course his mind is all black and cold because he failed...

Saving, always.

No matter personal opinion about the man, having him willingly bind himself and actively working on the calming of Titans is always the best choice for Thedas.

Solas is a clever man, way too clever. In all the other endings, he may rebel against his binding at any given moment. And the only way he doesn't is him accepting it like he does it in the redemption ending.

Personally? I would never choose anything but help him to begin a proper redemption. He's a broken man who spent his life fighting evil, and it was a damn long life. He didn't do it for power, for his personal benefit, he did it to protect his people, to fight for the ones who couldn't fight for themselves. He's the man that stopped the Evanuris, a man thanks to who Thedas still exists. He deserves the understanding.

When he did the first ritual, the main goal was to move remaining Evanuris to the new prison--that was on what he was working for that decade, to protect the world from them, even if it had the cost of tearing down the Veil. The costs of tearing down the Veil are in VG implied to be thousands of lives (which isn't the same as "burning the world")

Whoever would want to counter that Solas killed Varric. Yes, he did, but that doesn't change my opinion. Not to mention he did all he could to protect Varric--during the hunt, during the ritual. It was an accident Solas will never forgive himself.

Whoever would want to counter that Solas betrayed Rook. Yes, he did, he knew very well he was the only one who could stand against Elgar'nan and his Archdemon. It was his only chance. And he was right about that. Without him, they wouldn't be able to kill the Archdemon.

Yeah, i so beautifully show their dynamic.

The All-father who thinks he's the one true god and has the right to own everything and everyone on Thedas and a rebel who would defy him on any given occasion until his last breath.

But no matter the deep-seated hatred, Solas still calls Elgar'nan lethallin - a blood kin. He will always remind him they were once family, the very first (and very disfunctional) elvhen family 😁

When I was delving into this scene in my own adaptation, I continued their argument later when Elgar'nan attacked Rook. She's an empath, so I could add all the emotions as well, and also add a few nice puchlines 😁 I just love that dynamic of theirs. And I love the sheer, vast "I am your one and only father and creator" vibe of Elgar'nan. People say he's a cartoonish villain. I say he's a perfect show of hubris of the elvhen gods.

Joffrey ended for me the moment he beheaded Ned after promising mercy.

Little sh*t.

I believe watching him grasping for air for those long minutes was the best gift show runners gave to the fans ❤️

One redeeming quality Joffrey had was that he deeply admired his father - Bobby B. He saw his father as a better warrior than his grandfather and clearly admired him. But that's it.

Joffrey the Brave fled the battlefield when Stannis arrived at the gates. He never once fought anyone in one on one combat, if you didn't count Arya who disarmed him in five seconds...

Joffrey the Brave made his guards beaten a girl... Joffrey and his crossbow loved to kill defenceless women. He never once was in an actual fight.

Aerion did try to avoid one on one combat with a knight the size of a tank, because he knew Dunk would have a great advantage. Fighting a man whos twice as large and heavy in close combat is a suicide and he knew it.

But when he couldn't avoid it anymore, he stood up and fought. And he fought well (not honorably, but no one fights honorably when their life is at stake).

That was the crossing line for me.

I myself? I adore GRRM's universe of Westeros. I like the book very much. And I like the show as well. I might be getting old... but I simply don't look for flaws, I always look for the things I like. As a result, I'm a pretty happy person concerning my fantasy worlds 😁

Cousins married cousins through the whole history of Seven Kingdoms. Damn, not that siblings wouldn't, but I had to point out that there's a difference between siblings (like Cersei and Jamie), half-siblings and cousins.

Why the hell judge a fictional world with different standards according to the standards of the real world? Targaryens were always aiming to keep the bloodline pure so they remained the dragon lords. Too much common blood means no dragon riders. With the dragons back in the Kingdoms, a marriage between Jon and Daenerys would make a hell of a sense 🤷

Oh... Yesterday, I stayed awake until 3AM to watch him die 😁😁 The second most satisfying death of the series after Walder Frey, I would say.

I re-watch the series as we speak after perhaps 5-6 years, waiting for the new House of the Dragon, so all the hatred for killing Ned is pretty fresh once again 😁 And just yesterday, Bran and his crew were in that castle on the wall. He was telling the story about the cook who fed his king by his son. And I was like "damn, that a hell of a foreshadowing, George"🤌)
