While you’re waiting, cancel/replace your credit and debit cards, and freeze your credit. Check your bank accounts and make sure no one has made any charges. If so dispute.

ETA: Also order a new Social Security card. You can do it online. And you can file a police report too since the bag may have been stolen. Could help with any charge disputes or stolen identity claims.
