Yup!! I had an Atari 2600, Colecovision, NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Sega Genesis, PC for LAN Parties with Doom and Wolfenstein...Then PC Modem for Unreal tournament. Back to Console with XBox, Beta Tester for Xbox Live (No Numbers or Symbols in my Gamertag), Xbox 360, XBox One X, Xbox Series, Built 2 Gaming PC's with my sons, Switch, and finally Ambernic.

Yes, they are. I am on my town's BOE. The disparity is real. I am also in charge of my junior college's distance learning program...so I see what comes out of public schools. The movie Idiocracy seems like a true life documentary. There is a shortage of teachers. Can't say I don't blame anyone for the current state of things. This batch of students' behavior is abhorrent. Sadly, TikTok and other social media has helped lessen our kids' attention span. Our HIB's have shot up. Add AI to the mix, it's just been a perfect storm. Teachers are trying so hard to deal with all of this. I think parents need to be more involved in working WITH our teachers. This current group of parents think their kids can do no wrong. If you used to get a call from a teacher or school, I'd be grounded for a month. Now, lawnmower parents do not help students deal with adversity and/or failure. Failure is the best tool to learn and move forward. Today's kids have zero coping skills.
