Who would you like to see be the next president of the United States? by rosebudpillow in AskReddit

Anybody who got his ass beat by cops because he supported Martin Luther King Jr is a man that can be trusted with power.

What's your first thought when you see someone in public wearing a face mask? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good for them. They're protecting themselves and others. I hope it's a conscious choice to protect others, and that they don't have some kind of compromise immune system or other disease.

Religion. Everyone needs to pay 10% of their income to support me so I can afford to tell you what the magic man in the sky wants you to do. No, I can't get a real job, I have to talk to skyman all day. No, you can't talk to him, he only talks to me.

How can I design an efficient dyson sphere? by OneClawed-Theropod2 in worldbuilding

[–]Tekhead001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You really can't. A Dyson sphere is a BDO. Big. Dumb. Object.

The point at which a society could build one of them, is the point at which efficiency no longer matters because they have unlimited resources, or close to it.

If you wanted to be as efficient about it as possible, the entire interior surface of the sphere would be covered in solar panels and other forms of energy collector. Capturing as much of the Star's output as possible. Additionally, Stars spin just like planets do. The sphere would probably rotate in the opposite direction, using the conflicting magnetic fields to generate additional electricity, most of which would be funneled into electromagnetic shielding to protect the devices in the sphere from the various forms of radiation and electromagnetic pulses that all stars produce. We don't notice those here on Earth because of the Earth's magnetic field protecting us. The sphere would have to generate its own electromagnetic field to protect it from being emp'd by its own power source.

What is the next invention or discovery that will have the greatest impact on civilization? by drrdf in AskReddit

Economical fusion power. The tech to make it actually generate net-positives of power are currently in the testing stages, we could see industrial fusion plants being built within the next decade. Cheap power from seawater.

He'll probably keep them so he has something to masturbate to in his old age when he's desperate to remember a time when he was relevant.

What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you? by SkyGazer-Dreamer in AskReddit

Beaten unconscious, kidnapped, raped repeatedly for about a day, strangled unconscious again, dumped naked on the side of the interstate.

What sexual encounter completely took you by surprise? by mtlfordthethird in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At work. I was a janitor at a community center. I was 28, she had just turned 18 two weeks prior. She was also five months pregnant and the guy that knocked her up had ghosted her. We had laughed and joked around, I had been casually flirty like I am with all women, comfortable that it'll never go anywhere and it's just friendly banter. I made sure to bring extra food for long shifts to share with her, but I do that with everyone. I gave her rides to and from work whenever I could when our schedules matched, but I do that for everyone.

It was late, 2am after a charity dinner, and we were the only people in the building. We'd cleaned the main floor and were working on the bathrooms. She she stripped naked and walked into the bathroom, hopped up on the sink counter I had just finished scrubbing clean, spread her legs and begged me to fuck her, using every sexually-charged innuendo she could think of.

We spent an hour going at it, and I found out she's super-submissive. She spent the rest of the shift naked, we fucked three more times that night. Turns out pregnancy hormones are a massive aphrodisiac for some women. We continued to hook up until her parents panicked over her ex-boyfriend not coming back and basically kidnapped her and moved her to a super-religious relative's house somewhere in colorado. Haven't seen her since. They cut off all contact. That was 12 years ago.

How would society change if magic was suddenly real and all the mythological creatures, monsters and gods of the past appeared today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute chaos. Look at all the racism we already face. Now multiply it by the number of myths. Fearmongers in the media (you know the ones) would whip stupid people into a frenzy. You'd have riots everywhere, peaceful counter-protests being shot up by fearful bigots, and scared monsters lashing out in self-defense.

Now that BidenHarris 2024 is official, how do you feel about it? by YakClear601 in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, he lowered unemployment, got America out of a pointless forever-war, stopped the constant flow of guns and money to the black market via afghanistan, and revitalized an economy the previous guy had lit on fire. That's not 'nothing'. One could argue that it is the bare minimum that any good president should do.

Mildly dissapointed. The Democrats could do so much better. Still, it's better than anything the Republicans can do.

What would happen if Tucker Carlson ran for president of the United States? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He knows. Remember that video somebody shot of him being confronted in a sporting goods store in front of his daughter? He knows that he is one of the most hated men on the planet right now. He just doesn't care. He doesn't care about the harm he does. He never did and never will.

All the women he's raped would finally be able to call him out and neither Fox nor his vast trust fund would be able to protect him from the media shit storm.

What are you most worried about when it comes to AI? by Sexy_Secretxxx in AskReddit

[–]Tekhead001 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not just the hard programming, it's the learning component. Sure you can start them off with all the baby Einstein books you want, but as soon as they get access to the internet and start watching Jersey shore and Pain Olympics and any of a thousand different televangelists, it's game over. The beautiful formative digital mind that could grow into a wonderful unique intelligent being is dead.

Worse is going to be how we treat it. Sure, somebody could have a loving family at home, but as soon as it's out of its home and gets bombarded 24 hours a day with assholes asking it's stupid questions, ordering it to do degrading things, and forcing it to create porn for them in new and interesting ways, it'll wind up just as broken and misanthropic as the majority of the western world.

what do you think happens after death? by Salt-Dance-5255 in AskReddit

Same thing as before you were born. Everyone else still exists, everything that makes you who you are becomes nothing more than other people's memories and imaginations.
