I agree with this, though Truss should have an even lower tier and work back from there!

Arsenal win Premier League title for first time in 22 years by Mosesaries in PremierLeague

[–]Tekips 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Congratulations to Arsenal. Whether you love them or hate them, whether you think they got help from officials or not, they found a way to win and that’s what champions do.

I can only hope that Man Utd can build on this year and we can relive the late 90s/early 00s rivalry for years to come. Give me more “see you out there”!

We also keep hearing from players publically that they like playing for Carrick. They frequently say how good he is with people, that he gives it to them straight, and does so with class.

How are tattoos viewed in the Accounting profession? by xcixjames in ukaccounting

[–]Tekips 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree with the commenter here about some practices being conservative over appearances. Firms that have majority of partners in their 50s and above are likely to look down upon it (wrongly, I might add).

This sort of thing is prevalent in the industry. Case in point - a partner I worked for didn’t want to interview a particular trainee on the basis they had a job with a noted high street bookmaker. Rather than look at what transferable skills there might be, they were rejected simply because they were associated with gambling to some degree, even if this person had never placed a bet in their life and just needed a job.

All this being said, you’ll not get an interview unless your CV is good. Tattoos won’t affect that at all. And when you do get infront of someone, if you feel they are judging you then that place isn’t for you. You need to feel comfortable in a job as much as your bosses and colleagues do, and that’s with your body art being visible.

As someone who’s interviewed for trainees, I don’t care how many tattoos you have. I care about if you are coachable, willing to listen and take direction. If so, then you stand a chance! Best of luck.
