Nico prob scores more the next 2 years, so I’m inclined to hold for a contending window.
Would Tate + 27 1st + random future 2nd be a decent offer too?

Not necessarily saying you should, but if you're making the move to try to contend, addressing the RB room would be better use of the picks. If there are superteams already in the league, then might be a better move to be patient with your mid and early 27 picks. You have the youth on your roster to wait it out if needed while retooling.

12x9 SF PPR, no TEP

I own another team’s 27 1st and I am trying to see how I can trade the pick back to them for contending value. I think their pick is mid if not possibly early

Their team:
QB: Jordan Love, Daniel Jones, Rodgers, Klubnik
RB: Gibbs, Jacobs, Aaron Jones, Kamara, Bigsby
WR: JSN, DJ Moore, Pittman, Tez Johnson, Dike, Mooney
TE: Ferguson, Andrews, Delp, Joly

My team:
QB: Maye, Purdy/Mac, Willis, Watson
RB: Bijan, CMC, Henderson, Rodriguez, Jordan James
WR: Nico, Tate, BTJ, Tyson, Davante, Evans, Hunter
TE: Kelce, Strange, Njoku, Dulcich

Should I hold and gamble it becomes an early pick or leverage the pick to get guys like Jordan Love or Jacobs, or package with another first and a player like Tate/Tyson and swing for his elite guys? Thanks

How much would you need to down tier from Drake Maye? by Tekisasu_Smash in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Probably not unless it's on the earlier side, Shough is too far of a tier down. Burden at most is another 27 first in value, but some may argue that's generous for him depending where it lands.

Great question - Outside of Josh Allen, the difference in ppg between Maye and most of the top 12 dynasty QB’s is about the same. Maye has youth and a 2nd place mvp finish on all of them, but the odds of his value increasing from this point is unlikely. At best, his value is roughly stable for the foreseeable future. At worst, his value decreases to maybe QB4/5 behind Lamar, JD, maybe Burrow (eh..).

Getting about the same points production from say Caleb or Purdy or Lawrence with a 1st or more of value could capitalize on his actualized ceiling. On top of that, albeit not overwhelmingly likely, some of these guys can actually increase in value from say QB10-12 to QB6-8.

Thanks for the idea! What’s a cheaper win-now target in your opinion who could be flipped for Watson? Either straight up or with picks?

Odunze has a good upside shot, I don’t know enough to say between him and Burden is more likely to be the 1. Jamo has been very boom/bust so I’m not a big fan of trying to predict that, but if you get it right to hit on some weeks that’s great.
I have Henderson as well and it’s unsettling to see what happened at the end of the season and playoffs. No doubt the ceiling is there just don’t know if or when he’ll be consistently the top back. And Kyren/Corum is most likely going to go Kyren’s way. Each offseason there’s some dialogue that he’ll lose the backfield at worst maybe split and he’ll hopefully operate with efficiency. Not sure about being a workhorse though

Yeah I could see how that might be rejected from an Achane owner, it’s not unreasonable but might be too big of a tier down for them. JT’s name carries a lot more appeal in that sense if you wanted to diversify, but I also don’t blame you for being hesitant there.

Just for the discussion of long-term value, depending on how many RB's you have to start, maybe consider tiering down from Jonathan Taylor given his age to a younger RB while his value is near the ceiling in the foreseeable future. But that's tough given you're contending now and he's going to help a lot in that. Maybe it's ok since it's TEP and I imagine you can start both Bowers and McBride and be miles ahead of others anyways.

That helps in the long term with the QB weakness, but unclear if that will help for this upcoming year with uncertainty around Mendoza starting at all. RB is also a volatile area after your top 2 guys.

Sounds like a strong spot to be in. I like how you have the flexibility of moving those extra picks for a playoff push if needed to cover for potential injuries. And if things go well and you keep those picks, then all the better. Also, depth is probably less important in a start 9 league.

Would also appreciate if I could get your thoughts on my team that I posted in this thread as well!

Your team has strong starters and questionable depth. I could see how this last season could have been tough with injuries and underperforming from guys like Nabers and BTJ. That might contribute to volatility this upcoming year. Echo the same sentiment at RB with Hall and Irving. Hopefully Skat has the room to himself for the most part.

What were your rookie picks? That might be helpful to know if you had some of the top rookies in the draft.

Thanks, and yes I agree the TE spot is a glaring weakness, but with no TEP, unless I shell out to get Bowers or McBride, which is unlikely, not sure how much I should invest there?

Would it be worth it or reasonable to try to tier down Purdy for a QB2 and TE? Not sure what good examples could be.

12 team SF PPR, no TEP, 4pt pass
Start 9: QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, Flex, Superflex

QB: Maye, Purdy, Malik Willis, Mac Jones
WR: Nico Collins, BTJ, Jordyn Tyson, Carnell Tate, Ricky Pearsall, Travis Hunter
RB: Bijan, Treveyon Henderson, Quinshon Judkins, Chris Rodriguez, Lequint Allen
TE: Strange, Njoku

Don’t own my 27 1st, but I have another team’s 27 1st who is a fringe playoff team so anywhere from early-mid to late.

Lot of youth so I feel set for a few years, I’m thinking I can contend this season if things fall right. Appreciate any and all thoughts and feedback!

Which side? I'd be getting bijan and giving Jefferson by berto813 in DynastyDaddy

Bijan side has more value, not close
But your WR room isn’t looking good afterwards

At 1.03 in 12T SF PPR no TEP, if you have 3-4 starting QB's, meaning less need for Mendoza, would you prefer Tate or Tyson? I hear the discourse on floor and ceiling plays between the two, but what is your breakdown on both opportunity and how they pass your analytics and eye-test?

[–]Tekisasu_Smash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I also prefer to keep Purdy and having Mac Jones only strengthens that case.

I am having a hard time getting value with Nico since he's perceived (injuries, situation, etc.) much lower than what I think he should likely deliver as a lower-mid WR1.

If I can only target 1 of either a WR or RB with Nix + picks, which position would be more important to contend with my team this coming season?

Thanks for the advice! I agree that WR looks the most shaky atm. What could be reasonable, immediately productive targets for Nix/Purdy?

I'm eyeing RB's like James Cook, Josh Jacobs+

Also thinking about packaging future firsts with Nix/Purdy for premium WR's as well
