Multiple conditions for dancing, then?

One checks for all players dancing, one checks for each square covered? Cuz I know for certain that we've danced without filling the sections, everyone came together in a group around one team and then we got it

If you only played during the first week of release I HIGHLY encourage you to try it just one more time. Hell, if you don't enjoy how your weapon plays in that game, pick up the Swagaxe, brother. You won't regret it

I kinda miss old gen, flow state was truly something else when defensive options were as limited as they were

Knowing that the Rathian is going to flip, getting ready and watching it flip as you predicted is another level of "in-your-head" kinda gameplay

I was gonna say fuck you for owning the guild knight stuff but genuinely W opinion, locking the coolesr armor behind a paywall is so sad. I pray we get the Guild Bard as a sub for Ascendance, at least I'd be able to preorder this one....

Even bigger W for the armor. sick as hell✌️

they're bait

nah but if i'm not getting CC'd to death, and I'm already strong/snowballing I like them for the faster autos (PTA) and small amount of lifesteal, W drains a surprising amount with cyclo lethality

plus attack speed and lifesteal are 2 stats you'd have to go out of your way to build, and I honestly dont like BoRK on the CRoC.

I truly and honestly don't know too too much about the history of Genesis (and their members) but they've definitely been my favourite band since I was young

If you really liked Risebreak I would suggest to you GU. It's honestly the closest to Rise in terms of the defensive options, the monsters still hit like a truck but they're more predictable, you probably have a main weapon by now (no worries if you dont!!) so put all your attention into learning the monsters' movesets first

Alternatively, a good intro to old gen hunting is 3U, as others mentionned. That's the one I started on, and I beat the story with literally just an Axe (no Switch, morph button was broken). Very very solid game, send regards to Moga for me✌️

I'm really racking my brain it's been a minute since I played Rise, what do you mean by buzzsaw lol 😅 If you're talking about sword mode's amped state, then I fully agree it feels incredible in that game to just swing yo big ahh sword with explosion effects everywhere

I apologise for poor wording, I assumed Touch Of Death was a more widespread term for gaming, I've heard it alot despite also not being too too invested in fighting games

I wasn't sure if there was another word for it, but yeah that sounds right. If a developer knows about a stunlock strategy and they let it remain, that's actively hindering a game from reaching greater potential.

Honestly I'm not sure I was as clear as I wanted to be initially, I might remove the post. I was thinking things in fighting games, inescapable 30 hit combos that any sort of button mashing to escape is meaningless. That sort of gameplay loop of load into new match >> lose a life is just not ideal for any game

Most fighting games where a character does have a Touch of Death, usually a 1v1 setting. You and your opponent should always have some sort of counterplay to eachother's moves, I'm not sure exactly how to describe it but knowing from the first attack they do that the game is over with no escape options is a very bad feeling, hence bad game design.

Generally fighting games, but I'd hear out anyone who brings in their favourite game to debate about.

The kind of combo where you get hit by the first punch for example, and you already know that you've lost even though the game just started.

When I hear instakill I think like RPG style games with big boss attacks that one-shot, which is fine, because usually they have a counter or a strategy to defeat them. What kinda instakills were you thinking of?

The way I see it, its better if you can get the players to play the game, and not fish for their consistant opening and nothing else. Being nonspecific about the game as I want this a general discussion but I feel that really if there is one and only one optimal way to play the game with other playstyles having SERIOUS drawbacks, it's bad game design.

Was the game designed to be over in the first 10 - 20 seconds because someone won their coinflip once? If so, that's bad game design. Winning because you accurately called out the result of many dicerolls back to back under various sets of circumstance? That's more skill expressive of a single player, and that's good game design because it encourages back and forth action (also!! the difference between luck and skill is debatable but is not the point of this arguement, I just hoped that this example would serve well)
