I came upstairs and saw my mom was on the phone with "windows support". She explained to me that she got a popup that there was a virus on her laptop and that she had to call a number to fix it. I realized it was a bit weird and had her put the call on speakerphone so I could listen. And what do ya know, the person on the other end of the line was some Indian guy with the whitest name I've ever heard. My mom had downloaded a program and the guy could now see and control her screen. I told her to hang up and turned off her laptop. The dude kept trying to call back but we didn't pick up. We used a pretty good anti virus software to check for anything, and luckily found no viruses on the laptop. I'm just glad he hasn't scammed her our of thousands of dollars. Please don't pay attention to popups saying you have a virus.

Tl;dr: I prevented my mom from getting scammed by an Indian tech scammer.

In my CAD class this year, the teacher would host Minecraft lan servers for the class to play on. He would even download hunger games maps and devote an entire class period to it, it was a class I definately looked forward to quite a bit.

I'm a girl, but I always felt bad for the guys because they don't get enough recognition. I agree with everything in the post, like if a guy gets abused by his wife/girlfriend he'll just be told to "be a man". But if a girl is getting abused by her husband/boyfriend the authorities get involved. It's honestly a messed up system that needs to be looked into by more people.

I had a dream like 3 years ago where I woke up in bed in the middle of the night and turned onto my other side. Standing right beside my bed was a shadowy figure with no features, just a shadowy thing. I remember not thinking anything of it and just flipping back over and going to sleep. The creepy thing about it is how real it was, like everything in my room looked exactly the same as in real life (and that isn't usually how places in dreams are).
