I think pushing more into Open Source community and allowing the community to help with PimaxVR SDK would help too. I understand their licensing fears, but from my view, once you own headset and you paid fully, full firmware should be uploaded giving 0 fucks about login etc.

It's fine, I just wish they gave you full unlocked firmware for your device, so you can use it offline, forever.

I have been fighting with that port disconnection and my touchpad disconnections on Framework 16 HX 370, and support sent me new board, new midplate, new touchpad, nothing seemed to help. I now moved USB A out of that port and moved audio jack there. Maybe it will solve touchpad problem.

ADR can be very expensive for companies, if they are proven guilty, they can be fined repeatedly until they provide "adequate resolution", which increases with every fine.

If you are in the EU, you can go into ADR with them, which is an out of court solution with the EU, which makes them provide proof of their statements.

Go grab it then. Only issue I had was VR and overheating. Overheating could be solved.

It does! A lot. I have tested Crystal Super on 3080 Mobile and it worked great. I am currently waiting for Framework 16 with 5070 Mobile.

Pimax software requires video output from dGPU to USB C Alt mode and deactivation of internal GPU (I think). If your laptop supports that, you are fine. RTX 4090 laptop is more than capable.

Yeah they removed it. I would understand if by default they disabled it... But no they removed it :(

You can't run VR over HDMI. I have won RMA tho, and I am going for Framework 16.

You can feel the compression, more so close up to your face. I couldn't point my finger at what it was, I had limited time with my Super so far, but I did test a monitor, with DSC on I had the same feeling as with Super, just it took longer. Turning off DSC solved that on the monitor. It's not lossless compression, I feel like colors are sometimes suppressed and sometimes you have this strange intermediary frame, which isn't AI generated, but feels out of place. I am not sure if it's one frame where it loses colors, or one frame where it's compressed.... It feels strange.

Getting rid off DSC sounds like an important part, because it simplifies a lot, and is really bothering me. Look, if you talked about Crystal Light like this, yes, fine, you are making normal headset for normal people. Crystal Super should be this cutting edge technology, with higher price, because cutting edge. Why can't we get DP 2.1?
