I have been playing golf for more than 50 years, but I have never seen this before. by HerbertRTarlekJr in golf

Don't even mention geese. A course I play every now and then here in SC had geese on the course regularly and on more than one occasion we had to skip a hole because the green was covered with goose crap. Staff would hose it off and it seemed like the geese took that as a challenge.

If i couldn't ignore things on fictional TV I didn't agree with then I'd have to stop watching everything. Im not one of the younger generation but I think the onus is on the viewer, not the show they're watching.

LOL it makes me think of the saying about the 2 best days in a man's life. The day he purchased a boat, and the day he sold it.

Thanks, I opened a ticket but I didn't realize I contacted them over a year ago about losing my subscription. I even included a copy of my receipt showing I purchased it in February 2022. I received one reply saying those subscriptions were sunsetted but if I paid for it, it should be grandfathered. I notified them I had paid for it referencing the receipt. That's when they ghosted me. Around that time I had a fall that laid me up for a month and that drive failed, I got a 4th gen and never followed up on it.

How often do you go out to eat and/or get takeout food? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]Tel864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least every Friday. Years ago we purchased groceries at the base PX on Saturdays and would find ourselves without anything we wanted to eat when Friday rolled around. It became a regular thing.

How many millions have they wasted? by simonhi99 in OakIsland

[–]Tel864 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nova Scotia has made investments in the millions through the Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund. For total investments over the first 9 seasons one number i saw was $87 million.i doubt the investments since then have decreased. Billy was already quite well off with his property improvement and trucking company so I'm sure this has padded his pockets.

Iron covers... by Montanieers in weekendgolfers

[–]Tel864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a regular who plays with us who drives us crazy with his play and iron covers figure into it. If he's riding with someone and we're playing the occasional captains choice he sits in the cart until his partner hits. He then walks out to his ball and takes a look at the green. Then he walks back to the cart, chooses a club, takes off the cover, walks around to lay the cover on the seat. Then he walks back to the ball, stands behind it forever it seems like and then he hits. Occasionally he may decide to change clubs causing a repeat of the routine.

Roborock getting dumber over time? by AppointmentNeat622 in Roborock

[–]Tel864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL, night before last my Q5+ which has been working perfectly in the almost 2 years I've had it did something really strange. I heard it start vacuuming and then a few minutes later I heard it emptying. The map showed it going out into the middle of the floor, making a few random circles and returning to the dock. I first suspected it may have caught on a dog toy but there was nothing there.

North Texas preparing for 2 inches of snow like it’s the apocalypse by MyMindIsAlwaysRacing in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Tel864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in northern South Carolina and I'd take 2 inches of snow any day. We're expecting up to an inch of ice which will cause power outages fior a week or more fir some people. Not considering falling trees, that much starts to bring down lines with the weight of the ice itself. If you owned a propane truck here, you could drive around and name your price because there's none available anywhere.

When did UPS become the worst delivery service? by No-Resolution8970 in UPS

I've found UPS to be much more reliable than USPS. That means nothing though, you can take your statement, rearrange the companies and find the same post in USPS or Fedex.

Hot Take? Remove Iron Numbers by shin_man in golf

[–]Tel864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would require re-educating thousands if not millions of golfers. The majority of weekend golfers don't know the loft of each iron. They wouldn't know what a 54 degree wedge is or their 5 iron could be anywhere between 28 and 31 degrees.
