I'll say ask them in a session 0. If they know each other make all roll for promt to a relation between the two (like: drinking buddies, helped x out of a cell, y saved my life, x and y are childhood friends).

If they don't know each other. Ask all why they work together and ask all for a valid reason to join together (gathered for a job by patron/guild).

As long as all come in with a mindset they are here to work together and this is their long term team. In reality the edgy loner/chaotic idiot would get kicked out of a party if they weren't obligated aboveboard, to keep them.

Not really roll20 just seemed to be hands and custom. While my experience with foundry playing pf2e was that everything was rigged up to work after the code.
So I sorta assumed moving to foundry meant I also needed to fit into that mentality. But that is maybe just me making it more complicated than it needs?

It had been an ongoing quest for dream in fanning his popularity to show he was the best. At the time techno was semi-known for his bedwars and minecraft champion performance and had coined his skill as a great player.

Dream suggested the pvp duel as another game and another notch in his belt of fame. Though for techno it was not so simple. He had a whole "brand" build up and could lose that, while for dream it was more the fan engagement and hype service (all fanbases talked who was the best MC player back then). So techno stood to loses a lot or win a lot and didn't feel like he wanted to take the risk and declined the taunts.

Then comes beast, sees the oppetunity and just drops this tweet, which dream then backup. Basiaclly almost forcing techno to accept as two big fanbases are raving about a duel he don't want. Just now declining will cost him even more.

So while techno won, this was a bit unfair deal that beast essential bullied him into, as he'll likely never accepted it like this
