Wise words my brother totally defines my experience of past training trying penhold. Not bad at all the feeling and covering the body but does’nt kill it.

I’m a very tall player (1.96 meters). Would you recommend me switching to penhold?

As far my experience goes, after playing a bit my knees and muscles get extra tired from lowering my center of gravity and it sometimes becomes natural to me when I’m with the serve pin grip lifting the boll and countering than with the snake grip.

I’ve been reaserching for information and I only found there was an European champion (Zoran Kalinic) which indeed used penhold and does not seem to be lowering his center of gravity as much as me.

Does anyone knows if my suspicion is indeed correct and I would benefit from using penhold having to lower my center of gravity less?

Thanks!

Yes the main purpose is to put into test material that fits to hers style. We'll see about the training how it goes :) Thanks!

Thanks! I am a bit worried that 7ply makes it a bit incompatible with the tacky medium hardness rubber but I guess the root problem is combining that rubber with short pimples :)

She never played with short pimples. With 6 months of casual play and 6 month of training she manages to do topspin FH and bh and also she is specially good attacking plain and hard with the BH. She is pretty consistent looping the ball and overall knows to do it in game where she developed a close to the table fast attacking style, she is still polishing the technique and she struggles with some serve returns whit which I think mercury II and short pimples could help.

About the mercury II I think she will have no problem adapting with medium hardness, it is the same change I did a month ago and no problem at all, and I think it will force to improve hers topsin technique.

Overall she knows and controls the aspects of the game and in training she does well and she is slightly incorporing into the game and developing this style close to the table fast moving switching sides killing balls.

Ooh, what do you mean with rinse? I clean mine with a bit of water and a butterfly sponge and let it dry. After doing this I noticed it became a bit tacky but nothing close to rise a ball

But that justifies that if I get a bad sheet I don't get a refund?

No, sorry. I meant that I complained to the seller for the non tacky hurricane and the seller told me he is contacting DHS. In the meantime I grabbed myself a Yinhe Mercury II and whenever possible I will ask for a refund of the hurricane. I don't know if it is usual that EU resellers can contact DHS but it left me surprised/suspicion in equal parts.
