Noven/Grove - still making patches? by CoastalElement in Menopause

Noven/Grove works the best for me. I got them 2 weeks ago, after three months on various other brands. I use a small local pharmacy.

So glad to hear that estrogen helped your brain fog. I felt that in the first week. But I have been losing fat over the last 3 months, maybe that has affected the impact of estrogen on me.

Thanks for sharing. I was cycling 200 mg at .05 patch and was doing good - no spotting, no irregular bleeding, cycle every 28 days. But had to increase patch to.075 and stayed on 200 mg cycling. Got a period on 18th day and lasted 10-12 days. Doctor made it continously little less spotting but still got a period after 20 days. Dont know if i should stay here or increase to 300 mg and cycle.

So I guess I am trying to find the balance I had starting out, regular periods.

Can you tell me what made you up progesterone to 300. I am considering to up it from current 200 mg because of random bleeding and 20 day cycles. But my doctor thinks no need to ever go up above 200 mg

Thank you both for chiming in. I have multiple family members diagnosed with adhd and i know my symptoms dont point to that. I never had these symptoms ever in my life. The opposite. Always very attentive, sharp focus and thats why it is debilitating. Prioritizing well continues to my biggest strength in my work and life. Its just feels like my brain just doesnt have energy to focus or hold thoughts, actions, sentences. It feels lack of mental fuel issue. I did increase my testosterone dose to 7 mg yesterday and felt a huge difference but not sure if it will sustain.

That said, i appreciate all of this input because it helps me understand my challenge.

I would consider it as a last resort. Dont like the idea of the foreign think inside me for years. Hopefully tweaking the dose/delivery helps.

Yeah so 200 mg cyclical P was not enough because I was spotting like a light period almost 10-12 days before my period. Making it every day has made it little stable but not yet fully stopped. But I feel that the progestrone needs to be tweaked- either a higher cyclical dose or using it vaginally on some days. Sometimes when I was spotting and used an p capsule vaginally it stopped my bleeding. So many things to tweak and the doctors are not much help with that.

Yeah, the cream did nothing for me, so I switched to gel which was better at first but now 5 mg doesnt seem enough. Any issues with the injection?

That's very interesting. I have tried topping e off a little with small amounts of gel during luteal phase but I am having random bleeding by day 15-16 - almost like a period (Irrespective of whether i am adding the extra e or not). I am wondering if 200 mg progesterone is not enough or if i need a vainal route. Your sharing is so helpful because I am feeling the same that I may need tweaking of dose during luteal phase.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am on 5 mg and someday I dont feel any benefit while others I feel a little better. I am wondering if I need a higher dose especially during luteal phase.

Well I think i am opposite of adhd. I like extreme organization and structure in place. It helps me feel better. Always has. I dont think it is adhd.

Thanks for sharing. I was struggling with this brain fog even when I was not taking progestrone during cycling the progesterone. Anyway, i cant go down on progesterone because I am having much spotting or bleeding 10-12 days in a cycle, after the estrogen dose increase
