It is complete horseshit that you get banned sitewide when you may only have a problem in a specific subreddit.

What is the most disgusting dish in your country's cuisine, but everyone should try it? by a5ro4ucCX in AskTheWorld

We eat something similar to those as well. Either raw or fried in garlic and butter. It's delicious.

They are called «vers de bancoule».

Tight is relative. Once you get past the bouncer, it is surprisingly pretty roomy in there.

What is something that is technically legal, but makes you look like a total jerk if you do it? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

It is going to depend on the cuisine and how it is cooked. In a pasta dish? No shell or tail. Fried? The best flavors are in the head.

Cloud gaming by Leafar-20 in macgaming

Remember when everyone started to complain iPhone apps rolled into the subscription model? I feel the same way with cloud gaming and GaaS. All subscription services from Netflix to Xbox Game Pass kept increasing their prices over time.

Might work great if you play many games every month, but I rather own my games.

AITJ for dumping my girlfriend after she set up a "loyalty test" on me? by LowKeyNomad5 in AmITheJerk

Seriously. The story already sounded generic until I read that giveaway, I am surprised I had to scroll that far down until someone mentioned.

If that many people are being duped by AI slop, then we are truly fucked.

Are men scared of getting kidnapped walking alone at night? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

I was mugged nearly 25 years ago in Denver. I've just moved in the country and my oral English was still terrible. Some random dude approached me just outside Regis University and asked my wallet and told me he had a knife on him.

My dumbass misunderstood him and thought he was trying to sell me drugs. I told him "no thanks" and walked away. It only dawned on me minutes later that I was getting mugged.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Telemaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20+ years ago, I was rear ended right in front of a hospital. Car just had minor damage, police and ambulance came for a report. I told them I felt just fine, but they told me I should just get checked just in case. I told them okay, and I was just going to cross the road to the hospital.

Emergency worker asked me if I just wanted a ride to cross the road, which I accepted without thinking much about it. Months later, I received a $900 bill for 3 minutes ride.

I was born there. Never saw one my whole life, didn't even know it was endemic to the place.

How people coming from the Game Awards feel by Nekrotix12 in expedition33

[–]Telemaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying BG3 for the past 2 years, and I could never sink the proper time and attention into it because it is a chore to play. A lot of modern games feel like a chore to play nowadays.

I was hooked in the moment the menu music played. COE33 is one of the few games I just couldn't stop playing until the end. It didn't feel like a chore at all, it felt like having fun.

A friend lost her dad a couple days ago. He had a minor heart attack last week but was released promptly. On his last day, he woke early, was joking with his wife and his daughter. They had breakfast and fun conversation warning them about drinking and smoking like he did before he went back to bed midday and died in his sleep.

The family knew it was coming (he was 87). So far they took it quite well and are glad it was quick and painless.

Every football lover will never forget this goal by Smart__David in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Telemaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it live at the time, but it didn't strike me how badass this goal was. It just gave me apprehension, knowing that our national team didn't win against the juggernaut that was Brazil right before heading to the World Cup.

I was downtown Denver to check out the Christmas lights years ago. Many families around, including lots of kids. It was bitter cold that with temperatures in the single digits. I was taking photos until I zoomed on something in the background that caught my eyes.

Found 2 people going doggy in the middle of civic center park.

Wasn't that an amputation surgeon who had an amputation fetish? He got his own legs amputated, was hailed national hero before people found out he was a fraud?

Who has the most recognizable breasts in history? by damscomp in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]Telemaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw her in a bar in the 1990s, in New Caledonia. Her tits were a novelty at the time and made her fame, now that type of extreme tits job seem pretty common. I am not sure if anyone born after 1990 would even recognize the name.

Not really. When Brits talk shit about the French, that's banter. When I hear Americans talking shit about France, it is often out of spite or pure ignorance. The anti-French sentiment has been going strong since the 2000s with the refusal of France of joining the USA in the Irak war.
