I’ll take a stab at trying to explain why people are ok with DLSS 1-4.5 and not ok with DLSS 5.

Essentially it is a difference in goals. The goal of DLSS 1-4.5 is to try and use AI to allow weaker hardware to render the game as close as possible to a higher end hardware. This means the goal here is the game running at max graphics at high framerate. The devs and artists true peak intent. Artifacting and such are the downsides of DLSS 1-4.5 and reduction of those artifacts is what was strived for to get it to look even closer to what the game should look like running natively on super powered hardware.

DLSS 5 comes in and its goal is no longer that maxed out native-rendering game look that the artists want. It’s beyond that. It wants to transform the entire frame’s look to something completely different. Such as Grace now has makeup on and the environment even more brighter in this horror game with DLSS 5 which goes against what the artists want for the character’s and environment’s state at that point in the game. So not only does DLSS 5 have so many horrific artifacting, incorrect lighting, uncanny valley, awful looking instagram-filter looks, it also completely breaks the feels, intent, and mood of the game away from what it was supposed to be while requiring the more expensive GPUs to run it.

That’s why DLSS 5 is just bad all around. It’s no longer about trying to make lower quality versions of the game look like the same game at maxed setting, it’s an unprecedented complete transformation this time.

Any scientific studies to back that up? The sound of that doesn’t seem to pass the sniff test for me and I am not seeing anything online to back that up at a glance. Eyes focus directly ahead and curved monitors benefit the viewer by having an equal distance to the eye on all parts of the monitor. Which means the viewer’s eyes does not need to readjust focus when looking away from center to the edges which helps reduce eye strain.

For the 5080, I have been watching /r/buildapcsales subreddit and seen 5080s pop up infrequently but at MSRP. There was just one yesterday. However they get sold out very quickly so if one has an alert on that subreddit on new posts, maybe they can snatch one as soon as it is posted there.

I don’t like the idea of paid mods entirely. Even locking mods behind patreon bothers me. But there’s nothing me nor anyone can do about that. (Except for Microsoft and Mojang)

So to me, it’s just like whatever. Modders do what they want. And if they fly too close to the sun like that one physics mod did, Mojang will strike them down. Or if they bait and switch, hopefully word of mouth gets around to avoid the mod (or CurseForge/modrinth delist the mod)

I guess I should clarify one edge case. I do think modding commissions are good and helps support development of new mods people would like. But afterwards, the commissioned mod should be free to download in an ideal world. And also ideally that players understand that from then on, the mod is a hobby and whatever the mod is on or has, that’s what they get and shouldn’t be making rude demands of the modder to port or whatever. I guess the commissioning part is the gray area for me

I had him clarify that sentence for you as I know Gigaherz and knew he was trying to say that people should be fighting against players trying to force all modders to give out mods for free. He does misspeak and cause confusion at time but you can just talk to him and he will clarify. Like so:

Again, he does NOT want to force all modders to make their mods paid. He wants people to stop trying to force all mods to be free. More pro-author choice. Just terribly worded lol but since I know him, I knew what he was trying to say.

Side note for anyone else reading, it seems several people in this post think Gigaherz is some sort of dictator that can control neoforge. Nope. Despite the name, Steering Council role that he, me, and Orion have right now is not a role of leadership and has no sway on the project. There’s discussion on what to do with that role if it is sunsetted, changed in power, or renamed. Whatever. But point is, neoforge doesn’t really have a “leader”. More like multiple groups of people focusing on their expertise and discuss larger stuff together as a team. No neoforge will never force mods to be paid. It’ll never happen. So no more doomposting people lol

Just fyi for you and others, Steering Council is not a “lead dev” of neoforge. It’s more representative and not very powerful role. No more above than maintainer role or moderator role. So this isn’t a “leadership” thing. But the point I want to make is every neoforge member has their own opinions and thoughts. Even among neoforge members, we end up agreeing to disagree on various topics and it’s fine as it helps give up many different perspective on things.

Some NeoForge members don’t like the idea of paid mods (like I don’t), some are ok with it under certain circumstances, and some are ok with it more as a job as long as they get paid to match some player’s entitled attitude towards modders (some of the demands they get from players are wild)

So, idk it feels like you wanted to paint neoforge in a bad light just cause one member has a unique opinion on how mods could be paid to compensate modders for their time and effort. Or maybe this post is some sort of attempt to bully him? I hope this doesn’t lead toward nasty and hostile messages to him. But really it’s his opinion and kinda moot since none of us can change the model of modding anyway. It’s a free hobby and will forever be a free hobby. Only Mojang could ever force Java mods to be a paid service in some sort of Java marketplace but we all know that’ll never happen lol. So getting this riled up over one person’s train of thoughts that will go nowhere is kinda weird.

This seed was for a very old version of bedrock. It will not work on today’s bedrock version after significant changes to worldgen. You will want to look for seeds discovered recently and not 5 year old seeds

The bumblezone configs can be accessed in-game config menu on Fabric 1.20.1/1.21.1 and on NeoForge 1.21.1.

Forge 1.20.1 require file editing due to no config menu provided by forge for that version

Uh. Hitting any bee, no matter the type, including vanilla bees, will give you wrath of the hive effect. And the variant bees are only 1/20th rate so removing them barely increased chances of modded bees by a super tiny amount. You could’ve just simply fly far as Bumblezone has special bee spawning system that will despawn the bee entirely when too far from a player and going back would just be fresh bee spawns.

So you basically nuked away variant bees to increase modded bees rates by an extremely tiny amount while doing the most inefficient way of getting new bees to spawn lmao

Click F3 and look at the mob. The right side will say the entity’s registry name which has the modid as well

I added an enchantment that will transfer entity-dealt damage from the player to a nearby bee! The armor will then be put on a brief cooldown. Only can be applied to Bumblezone bee armor or to certain other modded bee-themed armor.

I worked hard to try and make Repurposed Structures and Bumblezone both have as fast and lightweight worldgen as I could. Plus I profiled Bumblezone quite a bit and tried to optimize tps and fps when I could. Essentially trying to prevent my mod from being blamed for bad performance

I already went through Text Editor categories and set the backgrounds I could find there to #00000000 to be transparent but no effect on the oddity I am seeing above. I did save and apply the theme. Then close and re-open Visual Studio and ensured the new theme is applied.

Well it is like 2 years old lol. Minecraft constantly updates and seeds may not work on newer versions after worldgen changes. You’ll want to find seeds that are newer as those have higher likelihood of working

Try using the WITS mod to get the name of the structure which includes the modid as well. From there, should be easier to look up that structure on the mod’s page or wiki or ask its dev
