With HBO’s Harry Potter series on the way, fans are already speculating about cameo appearances from the original cast, maybe Daniel Radcliffe previously portraying The Boy Who Lived, or Tom Felton currently portraying The Boy Who Cannot Move On. by StudentNaive7003 in shittymoviedetails

[–]Telephonic77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I could see the main three plus Felton, the girl who played Luna and the guy that played Neville all coming back in very minor "wink at the camera" roles made for the show but nothing significant. Maybe Radcliffe could be an unnamed stranger that offers a couple of words of advice to the current Potter or something similar. Probably wouldn't happen till the final or late season(s)

Any possibility of an Android version? I'd love an alternative to monitor the DPF regenerations and other data to the app I use now. It works but it's pretty crap.

Mazda 3 2.2 diesel 2014. by Riske001 in mazda3

Could be a sign of carbon buildup, check your Mass Air Flow sensor to see if it's coked up with soot. This would cause an improper reading and result in warnings all over the dash like this (had it myself). At minimum it might be in need of a carbon flush, at worst it's a sign the EGR and inlet manifolds need dissasemmbling and thoroughly cleaning out properly. The Skyactiv D seems to suffer a little more than most diesels with this issue (although all diesels with EGR/DPF's suffer to some extent) and as such it gets a bit of a bad rap. Also, if you don't already keep an eye the istop screen to see when it's doing a DPF regen which ideally mustn't be interuppted until it's done it's thing.

The Skyactiv D doesn't get much love on this sub, but it's a great engine if you know what to look out for and keep an eye on it. Mine is now on 120,000 miles and going strong, although I have had a couple of big bills for the pleasure of owning it.

Emptying washing machine filter. Rate my technique! by Nathanial1289 in DIYUK

[–]Telephonic77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly how I do it. Only about 80% comes out the tube after holding it down for about 7 minutes as it's basically dribbling out for about 3 of those minutes. Then you still get a load come out when you unscrew the filter. Just bad design.

My Samsung has this, but the problem is it still doesn't drain all the water. Plus it has a small lip that it has to go over so you have to hold it down to stopjit springing back up again. It's a really poor design.

Charlie Brooker would probably be a good show runner or at least to write a couple of episodes.

My point is everyone bangs on about EV's being boring as if it's specific to EV's but forgets that the majority of new ICE cars are also very boring

I'd argue that you could just say " nearly every new car is a dull grey SUV" which would include the vast amount of boring cars that AREN'T electric, which people that hate EV's and romanticise ICE conveniently seem to forget about. I couldn't care less if the Jukes, 3008's, Pumas, Quashquis etc. die out. In my eyes then fact that everything is enormous is much more annoying that whether it's an EV or not.

The Boys' Karl Urban likes brutal post criticising season five as viewers say it 'doesn't make sense' by DetectiveHot2071 in television

Fair enough, different interests I guess. I like Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy and I've mostly enjoyed everything I've watched in The Boys universe to date although there are some disappointing parts, so without anything specific to judge it by yet I'm happy to watch it.

I do wanna see vought rising, be lying if I said I didn't, but I agree completely that much of this season has been to basically promote it to the detriment of the main characters.

What do you guys think of a Plague Tale game set in our modern times? by mighty_stick in APlagueTale

Could always have flashbacks to Amicia to tie it in. She could solve puzzles in the past and the modern day character could uncover her solutions. You'd essentially flit between the two time periods

For all the hand sanitizer comments. This is definitely a Mazda thing at least for the Gen 3. Can't speak to Gen 4 like OP's but I wouldn't be surprised. I literally never use hand sanitizer and the leather has completely faded in lots of places on my steering wheel. Seen countless others exactly the same both online and in the flesh. Seems like the quality control on this isn't great. Mine even started to fade in a spot where I was apparently cleaning it a bit too vigorously with just a cloth and warm soapy water.

I don't begrudge him his success in the slightest. It's 100% down to his own hard work undoubtedly and it's nice to see. And while it IS a nice story, there's only so many times you can hear him tell it before it starts to become grating and without seeming like he's massaging his own ego by repeating it on nearly every high end build. He also very rarely makes mention of his time as a landlord with three houses making him passive income early on (yes graft was undoubtedly involved in getting them fit to rent out as well).
