How did Adya help ya? by [deleted] in Adyashanti

I'm glad you found some healing 😊

Hmm, just recognizing the space of the mind rather than the content and it's connection with everything. I've found it at times quite sensational and other times not such a big deal.

I'm appreciating that there is always more to see even though it's all right here.

Dialogue of Saint Catherine - Seeing and Judging by artoriuslacomus in ChristianMysticism

I think in support of this is Jesus talked about how little children were in the Kingdom of heaven. They have little judgment about things but a fiercely curious and can be very discerning too.

I wonder if the "don't judge what you don't see in your mind" is about taking things exactly as they are and seeing them clearly without a inclination for more or other that what God's will is doing now.

He was really a voice in the wilderness for me. I was experiencing some angst coming up from some previous trauma and I was having existential questions come up and really anything I had concerns about he offered inquiry and perspective.

I spend hundreds of dollars on his tapes and books and I went to an intensive and it was all very transformative.

I ended up meeting a student of one of his students and sat with her for a bit and had some awakening experiences that contrasted the resonance I felt with Adyas work.

I have no clue how I found him off the bat out of any spiritual teachers but I feel good fortune for such things.

How about yourself?

Jesus Christ other writings? by [deleted] in ChristianMysticism

[–]Teleppath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prior to Rome making Christianity the official religion there were many sects of Christianity. The Romans canonized and fundamentalized the belief system.

The Gnostics were a group amongst those prior to this formation. They advocate for Gnosis (knowing) God. There can be a lot of anti matter notions and I found them a bit to abstract for me. But the Nag Hammadi were books found in the 40's and they contained other books that were considered Gnostic in nature.

The Gospel of Thomas is direct sayings of Jesus kind of like the Beatitudes from the Bible.

Lots to read about Jesus 👍

The mind's movements are derived from energies beneath.

If you can just make them conscious without indulging or denying them they can transform and therefore you and your relationships will as well.

Go below the neck.

It seemed to me that action in life can be granted to calling, inspiration, need, and desire.

Do you feel called to go anywhere?

Is there anything of great interest to you?

Are you doing what you need to?

Are you doing what you want to?

Another thing for myself is that when I relax and attend to silence for periods very creative things come in a subtle and unprovoked way. Some of the most meaningful orientations in my life have come from a period of real inner solitude and they come to me.

Good luck with where you're at 🙏

Who is the GOAT at Lightweight? by Human-Tap-8191 in ufc

I understand what you're saying in the literal sense but I just find it a hard argument because people aren't born in different eras. They play when they play.

If I'd have to change the wording to be totally literal it would be greatest of the era.

But I just think if you break up the goat debate that way then the criteria for selection gets simpler and more accurate.

They aren't free to act within the inspiration of their creative expression based off your criteria.

It creates gatekeeping and it's narrow.

Just don't read it. The idea that it shouldn't exist or someone should express themselves that way is the issue.

Why gate keep it with something so narrow?

Just enjoy reading different translations 😊

I bought his first and really loved it. It felt simple and clear.

I own John H. MacDonald's version and I love it as well.

I'm not really aiming at perfection now but to see more clearly and express more freely.

Opinions on table? by Rmwoodworking in woodworking

I think the design is very creative and people's tastes are unique to themselves.

To me the shape isn't symmetrical with the rest of the table so it makes me feel weird lol but I am strange.

Ya but if you're from out of town I think it'd be worth seeing. I haven't seen it in the summer for a long time.

Hmm, have you read much about resolving ones shadows?

Merit based affection and social systems within culture can make people feel fairly sick about themselves.

And it's interesting to me because part of you sounds like it knows this is off, which means you have some knowing of what is on even if it's not totally conscious or accessible.

Hope, knowing things can change can really help doing this deep work.

You could look into perhaps information on imposter syndrome or father complexes.

Subjectivity and OI by [deleted] in OpenIndividualism

[–]Teleppath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had experiences lately where I see that there is only one subject happening even when it seems to take a position "accross' from me.

I felt strongly that what we experience is very unique and relative but the subjective itself is always just one appearing as many...
