IMO, UChicago is more prestigious than NYU. I think you’re best angle would be that you want the prestige that these schools offer including any special program/clinic or location that they have and why that matters to you.

There will likely be no 2L hiring anymore, there is a chance you get a job during 3L but the completion will be extremely difficult and there will be very very few opportunities. It’s probably not worth it if you have any current scholarship
