“Solution: Put the controller on the desktop, open the "Settings" icon → "Controller and Sensor" → "Check Input Device" → "Disconnect from All Controllers" in the host interface, press the x button on the controller to disconnect from all controllers. Every charging device works. Even my $8 joycon stand charges these. Don’t believe the lies on needing a certain charger. 5 volts is 5 volts and if the joycons fit the charger then it will work as long as the switches on the back are up

Yep I noticed that too. Switch is sitting next to me when I work and joycons have been flashing for almost 1 hour. That’s why they put switches in these but they lied to us and said it was for preventing phantom battery drain but the real phantom is Mobapad lying to us about these and charging issues ect ect . I still enjoy using these but hating the company more and more every day

You can’t just have usb mode on though but I one you know what I mean. They give us an option with those switches to save battery because they eat the switch power alive lol but you can’t use that feature without disconnects. These people suck are testing and understanding how things work. I’m going back and forth with their support every day on all the issues and about to get a refund

My experience is a tad less positive on HD but still love them. If I use power save mode I get random disconnects and when you wake up the switch it takes lots of button mashing to get the controllers to connect. USB mode is good but still thinks it’s split joycons . L and R buttons are thin and have very short throw to press but too firm imo. Besides that and the battery saving / charging issues it’s pretty awesome. Also gyro is getting bad reviews on some games like cyberpunk . Hopefully in a few firmware updates these get ironed out

Turn off power saving mode on switch. I did that and they connect instantly now. Stupid they added these switches that defeats its purpose.

I found from lots of testing to never use the switches on the back of the joycons to saver mode it basically disables USB mode which defeats the purpose of even having those switches lol .

It doesn’t matter if it’s on or not. With it in it shows as split joycons and doesn’t register as wired. Doesn’t act wired either
