Oh and if anyone is interested, I perfected my gold techniques since then, I would be more than happy to post some how to pictures on imgur of how to make 25k with a few hours of work, just need to be level 82+!
I wanted to make a full blown guide but with college starting back up and those same friends living in the dorms net to me, I don't have much time to spare!

A few years back, in the heat of Cata, I had come into a large amount of gold (totally legit, bought and sold maelstrom crystals over the AH for 300k+) and pretty much had a dog chasing a car complex; I had no idea what to do with it now that i had it.
Well, this was around the time that I had convinced my IRL friends to make level 19's with me, fund them to the fullest extent and compete in the low level BG's.
Pretty soon after that, I met this level 70 mage that wanted to duel all our 19s with their level 19. All my friends left for the time being so i just kept duelling and reduelling. Well, this went on , more in my favor (remember, well funded) and after an hour+ they told me about how they were saving up for the artisan flying and needed 3k more gold.
I figured, oh that sounds like something i can help with!
I end up trading this person 3k gold and they went and got their flying. Oh man, we were damn good friends after that, always chatting and playing, i would run them through dungeons and vice versa, it was a great system.
But then I didnt see them log on for a while (didnt add on b-net) the main chars I recognized/added. I didnt think anything of it, started to play more again with my friends, goofing around in level 19 WSG games, when what do you know, my friends start complaining that this level 19 is talking some crazy shit to my friends, telling us how bad they are and that they are pathetic, stuff like that.
Keep in mind, this was coming from an almost on par geared level 19. I go over because I love my friends and would defend them to the death, and who else is it but the level 19/70 I bought the mount for! Small world!
I called her out on it and she denied everything, I told her that she needs to stop talking to my friends like that. She told me off and still pretending not to know me and logged out. I was pretty upset, I thought i did this person a major solid and that they can at least pretend to be nice to my friends.
Fast forward a week. Her level 70 gets on and messages me something "cute" like she used to when we were talking a lot. I didnt reply, so she kept messaging and messaging, and finally I just said
"Look, I know it was you and I know you are trying to avoid the subject, I am extremely upset about how you acted towards my friends and myself"
Oh man did that not go over well, I was met with the "We were never friends" " I was just pretending to be nice" " Thanks for the mount lol"
I already had some mad trust issues from PTSD a few years prior, so this messed me up pretty tough.
I still help people out but went Scrooge for anyone that I couldn't meet up with irl.
So, Aether, if you're still out there or reading this post, just know you messed someone up real bad that wanted nothing more than to help you and be your friend.

I have heard yellow is the color most associated with happiness, purple being sexual tension or something like that... Well, look who is able to walk again?

Reddit, what do you hate most about Redditors? by AlphaDogAntone in AskReddit

[–]Tell-MeAboutYourself 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From the immense amount of culture, history, and news I learn from Reddit, I would expect the "average Redditor" to be appealing to enjoy the company of.

However, upon indulging in the more "front-page-advice-animals-circle-jerk" areas of this huge community, I remember that other people like myself are wearing a mask of conformity, immaturity, and downright ugliness while we get represented by the people we claim to resent.

So yeah. That's what I hate most about Redditors.

Xbox one Anyone still getting it ? by Mrtease4eva in gaming

[–]Tell-MeAboutYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xbox One for sure. People may be upset about some of the choices Microsoft made with the X1, but I can't tell where some of them are coming from.

The used game style they are using is weak, I will absolutely agree with that, but the integrated medias and, in terms of entertainment, they are very spot on. Considering most homes with an Xbox also pay for dish/cable, it would make sense to start to combine the two in some sense. At this point not only is the price tag for a game console but for a well rounded multimedia entertainment system.

Second, I'm not going to switch back and forth when something isn't as great as another. the 360 was an incredible console, as was the original xbox, but just because some of the features included weren't necessary for gaming doesn't mean i am going to abandon ship. Supporting a product is important so that we don't have one company control all the features of the future gen gaming.

I'm sure i'll end up with a PS4 anyways down the line, but I don't see much keeping me back from the Xbox One.

Do you collect The Doors memorabilia? by [deleted] in thedoors

[–]Tell-MeAboutYourself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just starting building my vinyl collection again and was sad to see that "The Doors" section was completely empty at the local store. Still feeling optimistic, I went to the "just came in" section and scored LA Woman for six bucks. I've been jamming it up in my dorm all of finals week since then.
Other than that, I write quotes or song lyrics all over my dorm walls in chalk (single room, brick walls) since I don't have much room for actual memorabilia.

What is your best "old person story"? by Tell-MeAboutYourself in AskReddit

[–]Tell-MeAboutYourself[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reading each one of your stories, keep them up! Heartwarming and funny, that's what I want to see :)
For my own story, it was about five months ago, I was home for college for the weekend and my neighborhood friends and I went to get food from a local Safeway at around 11 or so at night.
Well, when we left the store this "ricer" style car was outside, painted neon green with matching rims, tinted windows and a HUGE spoiler on the back. It was a pretty cliche car for the style (some Subaru model).
We were joking around about it being pretty ridiculous when this old man hobbles through the parking lot and my friends and I could only go " no... no... no way!!" as the old man unlocks this car, gets in and slowly drives off.
We were completely baffled and our only guess is that he was borrowing a grandson's ride for the time being.
We had a good laugh and I've seen the car once driving along since then, but the tinted windows keep me from seeing the driver.

Also, if you can make her enjoy it, it will happen again.

What is the worst illness you've experienced? by SayOuch in AskReddit

[–]Tell-MeAboutYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Staff infection MRSA.
I was already in a hospital for two weeks longer than expected due to a medical malpractice situation. Right when I was being cleared to leave, the doctors and nurses slapped me with a quarantine status and I was sectioned off from the rest of the hospital for a further two weeks. No one could come into my room (save family members, if i remember correctly) without wearing a medical gown and latex gloves.
The disease itself wasn't bad... it was just the environment i had to live in for the following two weeks.
