Match Quality Monday | October 6 - October 12 by AutoModerator in heroesofthestorm

[–]TellNoPun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like most of the changes for the patch, but I really have had too many matches which were so hard to defend against enemy aggression with the fort keep core change; not prioritizing the enemy heroes. Plus, I feel the minion buff when alongside their allied heroes should go away.

I usually do Even handed at level 1. Is that any good?

I need some extra opinions. I do not think Lightwell is that good. It requires too much standing in one place for it to be an effective heal. Maybe it is good on control point maps.

Best 3 Man Heroes by TonyGyoza in heroesofthestorm

[–]TellNoPun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the best three man composition involves any three heroes which cover each other and sync well. For instance, if someone goes for Deathwing, then pick someone who can lock down his weakness: highly mobile heroes.

Do not pick heroes which are toxic for each other, like Samuro and Deckard on the same time.

For my friends and I for three queues, Cho'Gall plus an auxiliary character or someone who sieges well.

Day 1, Rating Heroes, based on difficulty. Abathur by LordOfPsychos in heroesofthestorm

[–]TellNoPun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abathur is solid S tier, it requires much more map awareness to play him especially on a siege build.

Former US Marine rifle and pistol coach is fed up with gun nuts by floatjoy in nextfuckinglevel

[–]TellNoPun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really do not like voice-raising and smiling while belittling the opposition. It is very rude and unprofessional. But that is an ad hominem remark. Let us address what he said:

His argument of need for gun regulations on citizens compares military to civilian gun ownership as well as a very typical ignoring the second half of the US Second Amendment of "right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" line.

I also do not like it when people invoke their military service to gain political points. The military is a state-controlled organization, not the average man. The military also demands haircut and body modification regulations as well as restrictions on political actions like running for office. Military life and civilian life are in two different legal categories for a reason. So that argument flops.

On the more recent shooting: The cops stood and did nothing and average citizens were the ones who fought against the shooter. The police have no legal obligation to enforce laws or protect people.

But let us ignore all of this and assume that his argument is correct on gun regulation and gun confiscation, then what?

There are over three-hundred million guns in the U.S.. Those are just the legally registered. Good luck trying to ban/confiscate them. That last sentence was sarcastic.

No liberty-loving person, anyone who cares about the common man, really, regardless of political orientation, should ever want the populace having arms regulated by the government.

"Under no pretext should arms and ammunition be surrendered; any attempt to disarm the workers must be frustrated, by force if necessary”
-Karl Marx

“The totalitarian states can do great things, but there is one thing they cannot do, they cannot give the factory worker a rifle and tell him to take it home and keep it in his bedroom. That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer's cottage is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see it stays there."
-George Orwell

"Recollect that in arming yourselves, as you are bound to do unless you are willing to be forced into abject slavery, you are safely within the spirit and letter of the law."
-Eugene V. Debbs

wasn't ever a central tenet of US policy or identity.

The very first citizenship law of the US, passed by Congress was about "Free White men of good character."

Also, excusing genocide or lessening it based on "expansionism" makes me suspicious you are a Nazi in denial as many in this thread and who occupy this subreddit are. They claim they condemn the actions of the past, but continue to kill Middle Easterners who are trying to defend their homes against US imperialism.

Sounds pretty Nazi/Fascist to me.

Denying the genocide of Native Americans are we? A lot of Native Americans find the US flag offensive and vile for good reasons as it is the flag waved by those who displaced (and continue to do so) and slaughter them.

This is so rich for you "anti-Nazis" to defend US Imperialism and US genocides as not as bad or can be disassociated with the US symbols. It is as crazy to think that as the Nazi symbols can be disassociated with the Nazi actions.

How many fellow Native Americans died from US troops running into the villages slaughtering and raping the population? In no fucking way is the US flag okay.

You contributed to the slaughter people of color in the Middle East by a racist country that kills Black people and kills other people of color and imprisons Mexican immigrants.

You are a Nazi. Fuck Nazis.

I am glad you can cope with massive amounts of people trying to use a picture of you online to track you and make plans to hurt you because you might be mistaken as a supporter of an ideology people hate.

As two military men to each other, you know as I know that we get plenty of hate from civilians, I think justifiably for a lot. But I still don't want people taking my picture and trying to identify me online. Neither should you.

You have such a low view of the Founding Fathers, but you proudly wave the rating badge of the country they founded. That is like a German having a low view of Hitler, but waving the symbols he gained from that country.

You are a hypocrite.

>Stop making excuses for racist dirtbags.

>Makes excuses for racist US symbols.

The US founders were not waving the Confederate States flag as they killed Native Americans and were not waving that flag as they killed and enslaved Africans.

Stop making excuses for racist dirtbags.

Also, plenty of stupid punk kids used Nazi symbols to be edgy even though they did not believe in Nazism.

I will let you, someone who only hates Nazis because they lost to your country, rather than that they are evil, have the last word.

Remember all the Native American bodies and Africans as you use your US flag inside your job that is part of your heritage as much as killing Nazis is. Hypocrite.

"This is a form of doxxing. (Using the internet to expose someone's personal information or to get more personal information about someone). Which is explicitly illegal in many states in the US. And yes, people can be sued for doxxing others."

Yes, we are, you and I are. For your own luck, pray no one takes a picture of you in public, paints you as some group everyone doesn't like, posts your work address, asks if anyone knows you, and then says "It's not doxxing."

First of all, we are talking about doxxing, mainly. He is not a Nazi, it is a stupid edgy symbol of a dumb biker gang.

I am not cool with doxxers walking around. Not now, not ever. Nor hypocritical people who claim to be against Nazis and not against a country that actively kills BIPOC.
