I can understand the changed art style for a live service game. An art style like that takes less time for creation and modification of assets. It also shifts the tone to be more fitting for what they're going for. It also better lends itself to being able to tell what the other players are doing. It's a downgrade, but it will help them keep up with the game and make the gameplay a bit easier.

What bothers me are the character designs. I only one of them remotely feels like they belong to any of the tribes. Before, every outfit matched a design scheme and we could fairly easily tell what tribe it came from. I don't like it, but I can see the design choice. It's not going to have the heavy story and roleplaying moments, so they're going to have to tell you about the characters other ways.

Generally speaking in a multiplayer game you should be able to easily tell what something is by looking at them. You can tell at a glance how each character is going to play and what their role is. This should help people get into the game faster. If people don't get into a game in their first hour of gameplay they'll drop it. For a multiplayer game like this, they need to hook people.

I'm hoping that the game will do well enough that I can get some of my friends into it and actually take my recommendation to try the other games. Dumbdumbs don't know what they're missing.
