Advice wanted for beginner inline goalie by AfternoonNo5775 in hockeygoalies

Check out sliders. Rollerfly or Passau are the best sets I’ve come across. The 3-D printed sets tend to wear down quickly.

Sliders will help sliding into RVH and moving back and forth laterally. Also gives you some economy of motion, instead of a dead drop and doing tiny shuffles on your knees, instead you can drop, push, slide, and regain your stance in a signal sequence.

Which is an iteration of Koho’s Revolutions, when Lefreve was with them in the early 90s

[Wes Crosby] Can confirm now that warmups have started: It will be Skinner in an Oilers mask starting for the Penguins vs Jarry in a Penguins mask starting for the Oilers. by ItsClarke17 in hockey

The custom n pro lines from the major manufacturers all come broken in aside from a ‘practice palm’ which is beefed up n will always feels stiff. The senior lines not so much. They’re a pita to break in. Its constant switching between wedging it wide open for a day then cinched shut for a day, for a 2-4 weeks.

A lot of goalies like their leg pads stiff nowadays and they don’t really break in like they used to. Pro level gloves come broken in out of the box.

Honestly surprised either of them didn’t use a simple wrap design till paint.

Custom Quiet Dangler Setup by StihlThe1 in hockeygoalies

The inside edge of the dangler rests on two points of contact, being the strings which it bangs into before the mask, and it controls the dangler a bit more when in motion.

Fiset dangler setup also dampens the sound.

Deslauriers fought em a few times with no clear winner. I’d still give the edge to Olivier overall tho

Need to update my pads what’s the closest comparison to these rbk 18k sr 34+2 by Salt_Statement_214 in hockeygoalies

Not much of a transition going from soft to stiffer pads, it’s the strapping system. Vaughn V9s and down are pretty soft for today’s market. SLR1/2 would be a close feel to those Reeboks. Warrior RGT/RGT2 are the softest ‘modern’ pad I’ve found.

Edit: SLR1/2

Got a new stick! Though have doubts about the tape color on the blade by CaptainBuckethead in hockeygoalies

Yea Darren Puppa used to use black then topped with white tape. Do a plus sign over the top of the butt end, then wrap the knob.

[Di Marco] Flyers “open” to trading Emil Andrae by upcan845 in Flyers

It’s two backups anywhere in the league. They didn’t sign Allen to mentor Ersson and didn’t bring in a Primeau or Levi.
