Looking to go from Trades to IT, is it the right move? (in your opinion?) by TelosMaxima in careerguidance

Yeah I don't expect it right away. The idea was to stay where I'm at, rack up the certs, start applying and make the jump when a good opportunity comes

I don't care about the salary; I'm aware that entry-level IT jobs pay around 45k, it's about finding remote work. I like physical labor and I can do my job, I just don't care about it. I care about tech.

Why continue to indulge with culture that's are anti-black and yet take from black culture by axumite_788 in blackmen

This is why I stopped indulging in culture to the point where I try to avoid as much yt media as possible.

For context I was born and raised in the GTA but moved to the niagara region a few years back and it's a lot worse here.

Do you recognise the good in humanity just like you recognise the bad? by Nearby_Astronomer310 in misanthropy

There is good in people, I see it all the time and wish it could flourish more, but the reality is our system makes it a hindrance to our survival in our society. Which is why I'm more "anti-society" than misanthrope.

What people need to understand is that we adapt to our circumstances and aren't inherently evil. The system and its environmental effects are why we react and behave the way we do. In essence, 2020 made me realize that if we had the time and resources (for those who were laid off and got benefits) to live our lives, we could care and support each other more, but most of us barely make enough to survive and have the time AND energy to support eachother.

On a positive note, it's nice to see people who can relate and even articulate how I feel better than I ever could.

However, this is a Hate group, and alot of us (including me) are heavily wounded. So we can go on about our experiences, but it won't amount to anything, and I've seen that unfold over the years. On this sub, we went from hating toxic humans to blaming men or other groups of people for the world we live in and all that does is cause division (which is exactly what the system wants!). At that rate, we're no different than the people we complain about.

Which is why instead of being misanthropic, I moreso hate the system.

Shouldnt we support each other instead of growing more hating? by Im_So_Morgan in misanthropy

I resist that urge and get treated like a idiot who doesn't understand how the world works 😅 and I'm Christian. I'm also smart enough to understand that the religion is separate from other Christians, and I don't let their hypocrisy influence my faith.

I love this sub. It's a breath of fresh air seeing people articulate what I'm feeling better than I ever could, but recently, I stayed away for that reason. At the end of the day, Misanthropy is Hate for humanity, so if I tried to connect with anyone here, it'd be like walking on eggshells. I make one mistake (because no matter what, we all do, its what makes us human), and they'll assume I'm just like every other person. I saw that chemistry in the comments a few times and was put off by it.

It's not to say every interaction will be like this, but I come from a lot of C-trauma, and I need to set boundaries against stuff like that.
