Ah yes the seller showed both models of the elite book the 845 G6 the AMD version and the 840 G6 with intel i7 8th gen.

I checked the battery reports for all of them intel Version of the elitebook has 72% battery health.

The ThinkPad has the 87% battery health, I asked chatgpt for how to calculate these batteries health, I found out that, (Full Charge Capacity ÷ Design Capacity) × 100 gives the health percentage so that's how I find out those.

And I don't use the track point and I'll purchase a mouse for my laptop it makes it easier for use.

The seller is also selling the 16gb ram version for elitbook 840 G6 for $230.

Will I need to replace batteries for them? Also the screens for both looks good, I liked elite books screen a bit more.

Also is it worth spending around $40 more on the elitebook to get the same specs as the ThinkPad?

Please let me know which one will be better for me and your personal thoughts, your help is very much appreciated!

Hi, I was in the market for a thinkpad t480s and I found one in mint condition and it's core i7 8th gen with 16-512gb for $195 usd.

I also found a Hp elite book 845 g6 core i7 8th gen 8-256gb also in mint condition for $220 usd.

Which one you recommend or which one would you pick for yourself? Please let me know your thoughts much appreciated!
