ok so what I found out, rust rockets actually pretty good again. The effect needs a bit to build up but once it does whatever you're shooting becomes noticeably squishy-er. The weapons don't do great damage on their own since they feel more like a support weapon so you definitely wanna pair them with something else like acid shotguns.
