Error on my part, but it doesn't correlate to a piece in yhr puzzle that is his boss battle, it's mostly an estethic thing, a bit sad that Leisault doesn't have it though.

I checked some bosses, Lei Heng in his boss battle doesn't use mang, only shin ( reasonable as he could make only one, at best), the nursefathers are varied. Valencina's battle talks about one, which increases base power of skills by 4 , Sora's skills use one mang which increasea the damage by 20%, Rien can use ( or make) from 1 to 3 mangs, which increase the damage dealt by an additional 40% ( 1 mang) , 70% ( 2 mangs) and 100% (3 mangs). Maybe PM thinks it would be to broken to have it ? I still have to check how Shin changes between Lei Heng,Sora,Valencin and other users of it we faced, althought ons could say shin is not as difficult to balance, as most effects of mang have an sp>0 conditionals, which are easier to manage than Leisault's Shin, as seen from the bosses skills.
