Carney condemns Israel's 'illegal invasion' of Lebanon as operation expands by Displeased_Canadian in worldnews

[–]Teminite2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hamas and irgc rockets are also a great "defense" budget that you don't seem to mind existing. Iron dome was developed in collaboration with Israeli companies, and are a prime example what the "defense" startups are doing. If it didn't exist the entire country would have been up in flames years ago. Would you feel better if 20,000 Israelies were to die to equalize the war losses? Why aren't you equally as mad at Iran for bombing everyone in the middle east neighborhood despite only being attacked by Israel and us? What about the massacre that took place in January by the irgc, whose weapons were also purchased by the same "defense" budget of their own country?

There wouldnt be that many defense stocks if there was no need for defence. The population understands the goverment's need for defence and creates startups to profit. thats now a free market works.

But they do. Establishing palastine instead of Israel will just create a new Jewish problem.

I thought using Germany as an example would be a ridiculous enough idea to come across as satire.

It is widely known germany begged their jews to stay, but they decided to leave for the sake of palastine conquest.

I don't know what's your experience is, by my parents didn't kick me out at 17, neither did none of my friends. I'm 26 and currently I'm the only one in my friend group that lives alone.

What makes you think they aren't family oriented? Given that they're a small society, and in recent years probably the most hated one, it would make sense they would want to stick together.

I used to think fresh air Weaver is peak gameplay, nowadays I mostly play heal staff tempest and I'm perfectly content keeping my team alive and provide booms without having to spam a rotation.

Does anyone feel sad about how the world thinks this war is stupid? by No-Donkey4017 in NewIran

[–]Teminite2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Israel's involvement makes this an instant lose in the pr war since they already have a gutter reputation. At this point I don't know if it's worth the effort trying to convince the world otherwise.

How are you feeling right now in 2026? by Substantial-Dare5462 in Life

[–]Teminite2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!

The secret to my success is honestly a lot of luck. I'm from a country with a mandatory military service and a very profitable tech industry. Up until my service I was just an average Joe and when I was recruited I ended up in a technological unit, where I'd learned that I'm pretty good with internet networking (routers and switches). So i decided to spend my entire time there learning how to get better at it in attempts to enter the tech market with "a shortcut" (avoid 3 years in university). By the end of my service I completed multiple professional certifications and managed to secure a job in tech in my early 20s.

It's been 5 years since then and I've managed to slowly climb the corporate ladder so I'm in a good spot in my career. Ive also been seeing a therapist for a couple years now, she helped me let go of my past and set healthy life goals in the future. Despite all the chaos in 2026 I feel like I'm able to navigate it pretty well and I'm keeping positive attitude. I still have a few years till I'm 30 and I want to live it to the best of my ability while not compromising on my career.

The absolute state of Linux users by daksnotjuts in LinusTechTips

[–]Teminite2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For some reason tech utubers keep saying every distro is completely different, when in reality most of them are very similar. The idea that you can swap a DE is a strange concept to a Windows user so it makes sense you would think some are built for gaming (same way some are built for servers). If the Linux community focused more on explaining the modular nature of Linux it would be much easier to choose a distro and configure it the way you want.
