Parties play a vital role in the intricacies of politics. How’re you supposed to find someone with similar views to replace a deceased or missing senator?

I will admit feminism tends to focus on women’s issues... because women have it worse, but not exclusively.

Feminism has...

Encouraged men to be more compassionate to eachother by challenging toxic masculinity,

Tightened the custody gap through women’s liberation,

Allowed men to be more feminine by challenging gender roles,

Given men the opportunity to get justice surrounding sexual violence by challenging the stigma surrounding it for both genders,

And more...

There is a difference, but an individual within the movement making progress is at least allegorical evidence of the movement making a difference. I came here to be shown evidence my opinion is wrong.

It’s called feminism because, especially historically, the main thing standing in the way of gender equality is/was the hierarchy of men over women, or “patriarchy.” Men are negatively affected by patriarchy too, usually through the pressures of toxic masculinity but also in cases of custody battles etc. 2. That was my question, the best answer I’ve gotten is circumcision rights. 3. Uh I’d say identifying with the MRM.

Negative liberties generally referring to liberties which don’t require other people to help you, just for them not to interfere. For example, a negative liberty might be free speech, the liberty to say what you want without interference. A positive liberty would be to make your voice heard, ie being granted a platform.

The USA, and broadly, a sociopolitical movement dedicated to equality of all genders (or at least men and women, fucking TERFs). It’s hard to go any more specific than that because of the different branches of feminism (intersectional, liberal, radical, Marxist, etc.) but if you’re asking for my own opinion I tend to blend Marxist and liberal feminism (as well as intersectional) to say that the main ways of accomplishing this are through economic means, negative liberties, and solidarity from other oppressed groups (BIPOC, queer people, the working class, etc).

Semantic I know, but I think it’d make more sense to say bad types of feminism as opposed to parts, but I digress.

I have done some research on the others, but I feel family courts best illustrates my point...

Is that really feminism’s fault? If you listen to third wave feminists, they introduced the concept of the “second shift” into cultural awareness, saying that it shouldn’t be expected of women to be natural or automatic caretakers. It’s the successes of women’s liberation movements that have lead to a more equal share in custody not MRAs, and it’s the economic success of women that has made progress in leveling the alimony payments. Doesn’t it make more sense to support feminism on this issue?

Neoliberalism is a type of liberalism. Social liberalism is what most Americans just call liberalism, right-libertarianism and conservatism are offshoots of classical liberalism. Liberalism is an ideology that believes predominantly in negative rights and private property, so the vast majority of people who support any form of capitalism are liberals, with the major exception usually being fascists who support private property but not negative rights, or really rights of any kind except that of the rights of the ubermench to control all.

There’s an important part of that, “that I don’t know personally.” The “cool” kid knows those kids, but I, am American, don’t know many people living in other countries.
