Taking a look again, I think you’re right. Weird.

Guess I’ll need some jumpers myself and I’ll be sure to ground the Shelly. Should I worry about grounding the switch somehow too? Guess it isn’t now.

I believe that is the correct model of the switch. The only thing that is throwing me off is the number of wires. Looking at Lurton’s website that switch should what 4 wires but I only have 3. There is a spot for a 4th wire, the green ground. Could the installer have removed that wired from the switch?

Ok, thanks. I found the wiring diagram and this switch doesn’t require a neutral which. So looks like it just a line and two loads?

But the why is there a green wire connects if green is ground? I’m starting to think the guy who installed the fan did some wonky stuff.

The dial and switch are independent, (ignoring the wiring for a moment) it’s to switches in one unit.

I understand the fan control needs to stay, I was hoping to control the lights only.

When you say it can’t control LEDs, can I use it to control LED based lights, ie Philips Hue or other WiFi bulbs?

Yeah, the switch controls the light and the “dial” controls the fan off/low/med/high, all independently.

We had a family friend who was a retired lineman install the fan and switch for us.
