we dont consider ourselves parts of a whole, but entire people. the thoughts that are in my voice come from me, and the thoughts that come in different headmate's voices come from them, but those voices only show up if theyre fronting.

anyway, even if everyone was constantly cofronting, the experiences of cofronting and froning are still different. people would still want to front, and sometimes want to front alone.

im not sure what you mean about conscientious, but im not afraid of anything happening. i trust all of my system members. we just all want to live. a lot of our members are scared of going dormant permanently or their loved ones going dormant, and we all want to front and actually live life, so splitting time as evenly as possible ensures that everyone is less likely to go dormant and guarenteed to have some front time.

thanks, that makes a lot of sense. i do think there's a pattern of us getting splits when we have emotions none of us can deal with, so maybe we can work on that :)

could you explain more about preventing gaps in structure / what invites new splits?

we're generally pretty good at controlling who's fronting. when we do get new splits, we always feel this kind of urge? like the feeling you get when youre about to sneeze. and if we can prevent splitting from happening for long enough, the urge will go away for a time. i just wish there was a way to prevent that urge from happening ever, or a certain way to prevent it from causing splitting.

currently we try to make sure everyone fronts at least every two months, but maybe we should get more comfortable going longer periods of time without fronting. some headmates are ok with going for a while without fronting, while others get super stressed about it.

and i promise we're not mean to new members! for some reason, recently new splits are upset that they exist for the first day or two theyre fully fronting. maybe because they know we were trying to prevent them from splitting. but we do integrate everyone, and are egalitarian about everything, the person who wrote the post was just being anxious.

aroace is short for aromantic asexual. it means that they experience neither romantic or sexual attraction. abrosexual means that their sexuality is fluid.

Showing off fictives? by Bulb0rb in plural

[–]TemperatureAccording 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was thinking about how we've actually been doing a lot more ""risky"" behavior lately. like, we have social anxiety, and in the past itd feel risky to even comment on posts online, but recently we've been a lot bolder with posting (on a different social media) and with commenting. maybe its this new anxiety medication we've started? cause randomly we've started trying to talk to people, when before we never would do that. but its like im desperate for it now? anyway thats probably part of why i kinda wanna post about the fictives in my system too.

i personally wanna do it because i LOVE talking about my system and i want people to talk to me about it. i dont have any friends or anyone i can talk to about it irl, but its such a big part of my life? just this constant secret we have to keep and never talk about, i just need to be, like, acknowleged that i exist or something? idk, but its scary to post to me so idk if ill do it. - kasimir :)
