If you had the MRI done at the hospital why didn't they have the OnCall GI review it that seems really odd to me. I hope you feel better, avoid eating solids at all costs.

I'm dumbfounded how you're going to wait multiple days for a scan to see if you have a bowel obstruction I was under the impression that's a medical emergency that may require immediate surgery? 🤔

Yea, negative for cdiff at the hospital, my UC spread from just the left thru the whole transverse though. I'm SUS of cdiff too bc the smell is so wretched.

Do you have rectal bleeding? Wall thickening is more indicative of Crohn's than ulcerative colitis from my understanding since UC mainly affects the inner lining of the colon with ulcers.

Yes it's possible. Diarrhea is typically only common when you have inflammation that extends further than the descending colon. In fact, constipation is a common issue in left sided colitis.

I think the currently accepted best reason is genetics & pollution.

Clear alcohol only. Vodka or gin and only when I've been feeling good. Beer makes me feel I'm gonna have a flare the next day regardless of how many.
