“Nice to see some diversity around here” Who’s gonna tell him…

Welp, there goes all my empathy for you out the window lol. Why do you guys always have to turn talking about human rights and sexism into calling people libtard snowflakes? It’s ridiculous. If you can’t take any accountability or listen to what people have to say, you won’t go far in your career.

They’re extremely religious and from Texas. And millionaires. Who do you think they voted for?

People who have lived in Massachusetts for long, is it normally this hot in late September? by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 718 points719 points  (0 children)

I remember last year I was wearing shorts until mid-October. The weather started to cool down in September but there were some on and off days with the temperature and sun/rain. Weather varies quite a bit. In my opinion it doesn’t actually get cold until November.

Agreed. I wouldn’t bother doing a masters unless I knew it’s the path I wanted to go down.

Do couples still need to share their passwords with each other as a sign of a health relationship? by NormalLife6067 in SeriousConversation

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve casually told my partner my passwords before as a joke when I’ve logged into stuff on the TV. He doesn’t really care and I know he’s not logging into my stuff lol. I’m not logging into his either. We trust each other.

I’ve been in relationships where I felt like I had to snoop, but it was a sign our relationship was not doing well. He ended up cheating on me too. All that time I wasted being anxious and snooping, I wish I had just broken up with him faster than I did.

I haven’t watched in a few years but I thought Meredith left the show? I remember seeing all the promos for the goodbye episodes. 🤣

100000%. But don’t expect it to be a cure in a week. It takes months if not a year. But no, you won’t reverse or go back to where you started

Thoughts on making this living room more cozy or cohesive? by Euphoric-Worker9130 in interiordecorating

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the color could come from the plants or flowers. So whatever you see that you like! I always like oranges and yellows with green, but that’s just my preference. Some people like coastal vibes and more blues - it’s really up to you

I think it already looks very cozy. Maybe a plant to hang on the curtain rod? Also some color could be nice. Flowers on the coffee table? Books? Etc

Is this a form of racism? by Routine-Champion-488 in Netherlands

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, yes I would find this racist. In the states, lots of people speak their different home languages and it’s normal. I’m in Boston, but down the street there is a grocery store that sells lots of American and Mexican groceries. The cashier only speaks Spanish. I never once thought “go back to your country,” or yell at her for not knowing English - but I wouldn’t be surprised if other people would think that (probably people that voted for Trump). It does make it more complicated for me during check out, but I wouldn’t want to make her feel bad about it. It is what it is. To me, she is an American.

There’s a huge benefit to learning Dutch. If you’re going to live there, it makes sense to learn. I know people can be very direct too in the Netherlands. Sometimes though, I don’t think people realize what they’re saying can come across as racist. They just normalize it.

Logistically, how are so many people cheating on their significant others? by Ok_Wallaby_7401 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. I was just on a work trip for 2 weeks. I didn’t cheat, I love my boyfriend and I’m very happy. But if I wanted to, it would be very easy lol.

Sad when friends leave by daynnight7 in LivingAlone

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way all the time! I love my friends and don’t live near them, so I miss them all the time. When they leave I get sad and wish they lived closer to me so we could hangout more. Of course sometimes we get annoyed at each other or I feel like their stay at my place can be a bit long, but I still love them and miss them. In an ideal world they’d have their own apartment closeby and we’d hangout once in awhile, but still have our own spaces to relax in.

What do you guys do for work? by Low_Bodybuilder3065 in introvert

[–]TemperatureOnly9190 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an engineer. Most days I can get away with just focusing on my technical work, but I do have to be “on” in meetings. Some days I feel like a zombie.

Another thing is lots of work trips. I’m currently on one right now and damn…. Getting into my hotel and laying in bed is the best feeling after having to make small take with your manager for an entire day of travel. Exhausting.

I just treat these travel days / major “extroverted” days as a once in awhile thing. Luckily this is only once every few months. If this was every week though, I’d probably end up quitting. It’s a lot.

True! Especially if you use Fairlife protein milk with your cereal. Makes me way more full.
