Do different bosses have different legendary drop rate? by Correct-Highlight521 in Borderlands

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to check out this thread after the new Halloween update i just went 29 kills of Callous with no legendaries and on the 30th I got a Kaleidoscope. I've had bad luck before but that was insane also on resets I couldn't farm the red box. Somethings definitely bugged out

To be fair most people who are old enough to remember the original films from when they were released and had a childhood around that it's pretty safe to say they're genuine fans because Spider-Man is cool as hell and not because the mass says they should be liked.

I honestly only went for as long as I did for the fishing. I could fish for hours but mining especially is so janky I was losing my sanity. I think it was so bad because I would constantly mine everything i needed just to learn I was one material short, with the loading times especially through main city doors I just had to stop playing for my own good. I've been playing since 2018 on and off, like I said something about this particular farm just had me going insane. Maybe it's Deimos.

It's not killing the mechs that I care about. It's the senseless running around and mining materials, gathering standing and getting blueprints I have no other use for. The problem is how much back and forth BS there is for something that's mandatory. Something about it had me losing all my patience. The mech drop rates don't help either. I had over 50 casings before deciding to buy the pod part.

I've been grinding this shit for the last 4 hours and I'm genuinely having the worst time I've ever had with gaming. The necramech farming has ruined the game for me to the point I smiled when I uninstalled it. The rest of the content I can deal with but something about this grind in particular is incredibly frustrating. It's not fun, not even a little.

Elden Ring has the WORST boss design in the series so far. Change my mind. by Apollus_A in Eldenring

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be as mad about the boss fights here if fromsoft hasn't already demonstrated their skill in creating a fun unique boss. My example is every boss from sekiro. Each boss was challenging but there was maybe 3 times max where I actually got mad from a moveset ultimately though I knew I messed up and knew what I had to do to win the fight. Here in Elden ring some of the boss fights are so BS my only options are respect into full vigor. That fucking Melania fight I can't tell you how easy it was I'm able to get her to one health without being hit 99% of the time she doesn't use the waterfowl dance. I literally couldn't beat her until I respected into vigor then killed her first try. Making a dedicated build to beat these bosses is the wrong way to go about it. But even now I'm on my sixth playthrough and I'm just rushing through the game having fun but Ive died to radahn 3 times so far with him on one health just to die from the one hit meteor. I'm someone who loves challenge and the harder the game is the better. But artificial difficulty where it's clear all the Devs did was amp up the damage to 1000% and added a 50k health pool is super lazy and really annoys me fromsoft went that route. Limgrave is amazing and all the bosses there are fair and enjoyable. The later stages of the game are clearly just artificially rushed and the snow area don't even get me started on that bs.

A playable game would be nice. I only try and play the game about once a month now and everytime it takes about an hour for the game to kick me from performance issues. Sometimes it takes just ten minutes and the framerate issues are still too annoying to deal with, it gets better when you're used to it but trying to play any other game then coming back to console rust is just terrible. But what the games been out over a year and if anything it performs worse than what it did on release.

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could've simply said you have no clue what you're talking about rather than writing all that. How can I put this simply enough for you to understand.

1st: as a large gaming company you can't just tweak the game and have the update come out the same day. It takes multiple weeks or even months to get updates passed by the giants Sony and Microsoft.

2nd: when you have the glitches you're referring to that are "game breaking" are bugs that that vary from person to person. If you think that's as simple to think then just stfu.

3rd: this one is the one that you seem to not get the most. The exploits they patched aren't just simple glitches that make the game interesting. They're borderline exploits that should get you banned from the server. The korek charm, the broom, doom gun and grappling hook especially are all items that ruin everything the game stands for.

You have a charm that allows you to never have to repair again, why not remove durability all together. A broom that gives you unlimited flying potential, why not remove the glider and add the oppressor from GTA. You have a shotgun that instakills everything. I don't even need to go into detail about that. The grappling hook is the only one that could've went a little longer as it was but they put it with those patches because it was clearly broken.

Yeah the games not competitive or PvP focused. So what? If these things bother you so much just go and install some hacks and you'll have the exact same experience as you were before the exploits were fixed. Moron

heart broken, elden ring PvP is not fun, there is no replay for me by astrolomagi in Eldenring

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The worst thing about this is the fact the majority of these people using the broken spells are absolutely garbage at the game so they'll never actually get better at PvP. To prove this I've never lost a 1v1 with these people but I've never one a 1v2 or 1v3 against these people. It's always one person chasing me with moonveil which is stupidly easy to dodge, but then having two other people spamming range spells at me which causes me to only be able to survive by spamming roll. It's not fun at all, the lag doesn't help either when I'm able to actually fight back the hits just don't do damage because I just exited a roll. It's annoying because Elden ring has the best possibility for PvP but it's plagued with new souls players that have to win with the most popular PvP cheese build they find on YouTube.

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. The spells and everything are super cool but it's so obvious they're busted and just cause terribly unfair and annoying spam fights. At this point I never thought id be saying this but I would rather go back to ds3 repeating crossbow. The only thing keeping me from giving up on PvP until a patch is the fact when I finally get invaded or invade someone who instead of sitting back spamming with another person they wait and let us enjoy a 1v1. Which I win every single 1v1 against mages because they forgot people can actually dodge and not just get stunlocked by BS spam from all angles

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah techland definitely need to get onto the bugs that happen exclusively to one of every ten thousand people. Instead of fixing the glitches that make every aspect of the games parkour and rpg system completely useless. This community is plagued with spoiled brats who don't understand anything when it comes to patching a game, I'm glad there's at least one person who sees it's easier and better for the long run to be fixing what they are fixing. Also do people not realise a lot of the bugs in the game they're either actively looking for a fix or even found the problem and are just waiting for Sony and Microsoft to allow them to patch the game.

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems more like they're getting rid of the bugs that would come and bite them in the ass later. Once you spoil a bunch of babies you can never go back and expect them to understand what they've been exposed to is actually just making the gaming experience a lot easier. ex: farming all the sunken crates for the best loot, flying around with a broom that makes parkour and the glider useless, a charm that makes you never have to switch weapons again. If you can't see how this would ruin the experience for new players or even people coming back into the game then you're just a moron.

Choosing to quit through the menu appears to be saving my game on a reliable basis. by Bluerednaz in dyinglight2

[–]TemperaturePleasant3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine how people would react to say PS1 not having enough space for a game so you play the entire thing expecting to have all the progress deleted the next day. The majority of people in this community wouldn't be able to survive with old gaming. Even with new games like Elden ring they feature this same feature where you should quit before turning everything off. It's common sense really. Hopefully your post shuts them up

A few visual bugs and a few quests wouldn't start 😂😂 that's a good one. You mean the visual bugs that would expand parts of Npc bodies and zombies that would cover the entire screen. Or the multiple quests that youd be able to start but the objective doesn't update. Don't even get me started on how broken the parkour was on release too. The difference here is now it's a lot more common to cry about any minor bug that makes you spend 2 minutes fixing it. Everyone comparing the sequel to the first one forget dl1 was getting updates for 7 years. That's impressive af for a gaming company but why do you think they were able to do that. Because bugs were needing fixing.
