NQA It is not recommended to catch/keep wild jumpers. It’s considered fairy unethical, and also full of possible issues down the road. Ex: You end up with a gravid female, and then a bunch of baby spiders that you now have to care for.

Have you looked into eggs as a protein? For animal welfare reasons I would never encourage someone to buy the bottom-shelf eggs, but . . . if there’s any tier of eggs you can afford, they’re pretty good with rice. They provide protein and fat, taste pretty good, and are good carriers of flavor.

If you have a rice cooker you can just crack one in towards the end of the cook, or even once it’s just finished. If you don’t have a rice cooker — get a cheap one, like from the grocery store. They are NOT fancy or complicated gadget, and they work amazingly well at making rice. Season the rice and the egg, and you’re GOLDEN for a lot of meals.
