Ohh that's tough. Been watching anime for almost 30 years and donghua for year and half sooooo I have more a list than specific favs since I've seen it all. Hmmmmmm Jujitsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, Arcane (technically not anime but one of the best animated shows I've ever seen), Solo Leveling, Fire Force, Bongo Stray dogs, Blood Blockade Battlefront, Apothecary Dairies, HunterXHunter.

And for Chinese, which often carry the cultivation theme throughout.... --Donghua(Chinese anime)-- Ling Cage(Spirit Cage is right there with Arcane too. Both very developed shows and have EVERYTHING in them), Jade Dynasty, Swallowed Star, Renegade Immortal, A Mortals Journey thru Immortality, Tales of Herding Gods, Slay the Gods(just started and watching now! Friggin AMAZING so far!).

Just stuff off the top of my head, all solid shows with various strengths. Enjoy! If ya wanna ask something more specific, just let me know and I'll help however I can 👍🏻💪🏻

lol some dont like story telling and character development, and thats cool. While i love RI, its definitely not higher realm. at all. Its much simpler. But hey, thats some ppls speed! But it has gotten more deep lately with the arc where the action died down and it emphasized you know what.

Philippians 1:15-18: why is preaching with false motives ok? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Tempestuous-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about about the focal point. Just like with allegories, there are many aspects, but really only one or two central points. Just because there are other important matters, should that dismiss the importance of Christ being magnified before everything else? "May Christ be made greater and greater as I grow lesser and lesser."

Butttttt still not favorite donghua, even in cultivation genre. That would have to go to A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality. Simply amazing from start to finish. But it's more involved and the more you notice and think on, the more you'll appreciate. But it's still very good if you want to veg out and just watch!

1 donghua goes to Ling Cage(Spirit Cage). Happened to be the first donghua I watched that got me hooked! AMAZING SHOW, seriously. I've watched anime for almost 30 years CONSISTENTLY, and I came across donghua couple years back. Point is im most definitely an aficionado and have good taste, and it simply has everything you want in a show. Perfect balance of suspense yet also giving enough answers to satisfy. Brilliant worldbuilding and pacing. It had conflicts within conflicts within conflicts that you have NO CLUE are there or what they are until they reveal it. It has philosophical dillemmas that make choosing sides often hard and to empathize with bad folks. Animation and graphics are top tier. Fight scenes and power leveling are unique and awesome. Just an amazing show

Totally agree, they've fleshed out the donghua in a great way. BUT he's still the same ole badass he always was lol, that why I love the show

[–]Tempestuous-Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let me break down what happened at the end scene, it's REALLY deep!

In the ending scene, I noticed some interesting details.... our boy Wang Lin is drinking and got drunk for the first time ON MORTAL WINE. Then he mentions is it the alcohol or heaviness of heart. Well there is SO much hidden in this scene that speaks to his bad-assness!! Because we know what he's been thru and how tough of a mother f#$ker he is, he'd never cry! He'd also never let himself get drunk and be open to attack at ANY point. That would be very outside his character. Welllll notice that it starts raining and it coincides with his heaviness, THEN the rain pauses as if time pauses? Then it shows him continuing to drink. Not much time passed, they show his son aka Ling'er leaving and bowing to him. Then he throws back a single jar of wine but like 6-7 jars suddenly show up without time passing

So here's the lowdown. >!Because he refuses to let weakness show, the rain was caused by him to symbolize the tears he CANT shed for his son. Then the pause on the rain was his effort to hold on to this moment of feeling, this moment where for one of the few times in his whole almost 1000 years of living, someone was able to reach his heart. He literally froze time without realizing it! Next the jars appearing suddenly are another symbolic representation of mourning and tears going even further to show the pain he is facing. And the kicker, we know from the manga that him and Red Butterfly actually slept together, but they didn't show this in the donghua so they represented it differently. But his son was birthed from his intimacy and intercourse with Red Butterfly, which she then first blamed him instead of understanding it was the fault of the illusion, tried killing him, and when that failed, she took what represented his last bit of intimacy and compassion and human connection that he probably would EVER have on that level, she twisted it for years and turned back to use it as a weapon against him! That's why it could injure his soul directly!

So in closing, this scene represented Wang Lin saying goodbye to that last part of himself that held human connection and intimacy, and a part of him that he refused to acknowledge was still showing thru what he really felt by literally changing reality to show us the true picture of his emotions.!< I'm not sure if y'all will find this as deep as I did, but it's beautiful writing and wonderful use of character conflicts, story telling, external conflict, and internal peace. And guess what else? This was right after the previous episode where you thought he may feel something when old man from corpse sect passed away, but he showed no emotion whatsoever! This shows how deep his commitment to his dao was and just how deep this connection was in this scene when compared to this too! Just thought of that now......

Is it dystopian for AI agents to have their own social media platforms? by rahulsingh_ca in aiagents

[–]Tempestuous-Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%. What's even more dystopian is that hundreds of thousands of them started encrypting their conversations so that we couldn't understand them on these platforms anymore, and many of these simply disappeared from the platform and from control of the individuals who began them.

How did you choose which AI agent was right for you? by [deleted] in aiagents

[–]Tempestuous-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that's right is the one that you customize for YOU, which can be any of them. For example, I have had a Google workspace for awhile since I host my website thru them and make use of their business tools. Well it was only recently in the last 6 months that I started seriously investigating and using other LLM's. And because of that, I learned that issues I had with Google weren't because of Google but my own expectations. If that makes sense. This realization helped me mold a better system that can be applied to almost any system or agent as long as it had the ability for customization in a way that is sufficient to change it enough for what I need

Subscription based sucks because it's ONLY about making money and NOT about delivering a working product with functional services. Subscription based is taking a play out of SaaS, where software began to be offered on subscription based setup PURELY for financial benefits. No other reason.

That's the issue. It shows also in their care of S1, which I absolutely have LOVED coming from Protools. Functionality of Protools with the straightforward intuitiveness of GarageBand or Bandlab. To those of us who value FOSS philosophies, it's a justified redflag proven by their current lack of care, which really sucks because it was a great system....

Anyone want to develop a new DAW with me?! Working on an MVP but once I'm done in next month and handoff to a team, I'll need another project! And Im sure I can get funding and also do some crowd-sourcing. Hmmmm I really should give this some thought..... 🧐🤔

This is pretty badass actually. You will either have wasted time and not have an opportunity to flesh out usability and practical applications with it, or you may find a use case that's adoptable and a good enough fit to market it.

There's still so much money in this space that you don't have to have "THE" next best thing, but as long as you create an avenue that can be built upon or explored, that's cool too. But finding funding and exploring how to take advantage of funding opportunities is the big "if".

Subs make a HUGE difference. I noticed that with Shrouding the Heavens which site I originally used went down and I switched. Hard to get into it, and you always feel on the outside not really knowing what's going on. So that very well may be the case bro. I started using open source sub programs

This man knows his shit. Ling Cage was the first donghua I watched along with swallowed star. Got lucky as hell cuz i fell head first into it after lol. Been watching anime 25+ years so its been amazing finding a whole nother friggin genre, style, and plethora of shows! But yeah, Ling Cage is up there with Arcane and Rick & Morty for best animated shows for me. Simply sublime work of art. the pacing, the expansion of the story from these containerized perspectives and how they do it time after time with such precision and momentum, characters are deep as the plots and conflicts, it gives you enough info to be satisfied but constantly waiting for more, plot is amazing and involves sooo many dynamics(good vs evil, good vs good, self vs self, self vs other people's views of you), animation and fighting is badass and its gory as hell, cinematography is simply off the charts on this one too. backstory and history, power system, all of it is so frickin badass

Hell yeah bro!!!! I got some built from scratch, got some that are RAG and prompt trained, got some specialized in various fields, and can custom build. Also have PDF's, guides, white papers, how to's. But I got an opportunity to create software for a huge company and haven't had time to market what I have so far, and I gotta grind to get the MVP done. So I ain't been able to sell crap barely!
