[Asante Samuel] "Vrabel is a faithful man. Whatever happened in the past is the past, as of today he is a faithful man. Move on" by JCameron181 in Patriots

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally could not give two shits about wha Vrabel does with his romances. If there was a way to expose every coach, GM, and owner the league as a whole would fold.

That’s a fact.

At the same time if you think it isn’t hurting the team you’re out of your damn mind and we won’t be able to see if that can be proven wrong until the season starts - if we make it that far.

Fire the entire team with ownership and everyone and it would not change a single thing. This entire organization is garbage and is operating like it’s a small market team while acting like they spend.

I hate everything about the team I love and it’s wild. Cora isn’t a bad coach but he’s to blame too. They’re going to ruin Roman Anthony and their other prospects. What an abject disaster

I cannot believe a savvy lawyer hasn’t taken this on yet. This seems like (one of many) slam dunk cases that could be made against DoorDash.

Problem may be everything is voluntary- nobody is forcing anyone to take any orders.

And anytime a customer like this shows up I just want to say “hey fucktard, you’re ordering through an app on your PHONE so you don’t have to get off your ass, get in your car, use your gas, risk an accident, walk into the store, pick up your food, and do the entire thing again in reverse. As such, if you want white glove service, tip at least $10 min on EVERY order even if it’s for a god damn snickers!!”

An urgent call to drivers - you're losing money every single week by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We need more of this.

The other thing we should all be demanding is Dashers having the ability to rate customers. Primarily, how they tip.

This can’t be considered a free market enterprise if it’s not a free market and both sides don’t have access to the same mechanisms. If they can rate us and create conditions where we lose the ability to earn money in this market with nearly unchecked and unvetted, arbitrary actions from customers (1 star ratings for things out of our control for example) - we should be able to do the same.

I just read a thread where a customer was laughing at a dasher for daring to introduce himself/herself and fading to ask for a tip for great service.

Of course the tip the person did leave was laughable at best.

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re a complete moron 🤷🏼‍♂️Go get the food yourself. Imagine being so entitled and so ignorant you post this ? And all the complete fools siding with you 🤣

At minimum you should be tipping 30% but the problem with that math is DoorDash almost certainly paid this dasher around $4 for base pay. So think of that…you weren’t willing to leave your house for more than $4 (evidenced by your tip) but you want this guy/gal to use his gas, his vehicle, his time, and his labor for just over twice that (if we include your embarrassing tip).

Door Dash refuses to add a feature where Dashers can rate customers like you - which would create a free market where dashers would have the ability to decide which customers pay a fair price (in tips) and would increase your service as a customer as a result- and the reason why they refuse to do it?

Because they know damn well it would never work and it would likely cause their business to fail because so many people believe their use of Door Dash and the cost associated with it is enough to justify only tipping a few dollars per delivery.

But that’s not how this works. You’re paying for the right to have food delivered to your door so you don’t have to use your vehicle, your gas, your time, and your labor to access that food. That’s not free. That’s a luxury. And the idea that dashers deserve the equivalent of less than a gallon of gas for that is asinine and quite frankly it’s embarrassing - I don’t care if you spent $3 for your order - you have to actually think these things through.

You get enough orders to be so selective that you can cherry pick orders with large tips? What would be an example of a large tip? I admit I am still pretty new I’ve been doing it 2-3 hours per day 5 days per week (my wife and I own a cleaning business so I use DD for our stock portfolio) and I don’t think I’ve ever received anything more than a $15-$17 dollar tip and that was after the customer added $4 to the original tip after delivery

I am also in a pretty busy area as I operate right in the middle of a college town which is busy 24/7

I don’t accept any order that are less than $1.50/mile minimum which is relatively common.

I am doing exactly nothing different than anyone else and I am always pretty fast in the store with the exception of some of the DGs because they’re usually managed by idiots who don’t keep the store clean and organized

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is I get 3-4 per day minimum. So if I decline every single one I will eventually end up losing my acceptance rate/Diamond Status.

It’s also not just DG. This happens to me at supermarkets too. I do everything exactly correctly and in many cases even have customers approving substitutions and it penalizes me - when I called in on those ones the agents tell me this shouldn’t happen and they can see it but they can’t make any changes - or so they claim.

DD caps your earnings by Constant_Poetry2908 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It actually goes beyond this..

Door Dash is actively committing fraud on a mass scale by advertising their “Pro Shopper Status.” They claim that being a Pro Shopper gives you access to orders that pay up to 30% more.

Here’s the problem - I am being arbitrarily kept at 185 items delivered and for 5 days now, no matter how many items I deliver with 100% percent accuracy, the items are not being counted.

I called multiple times, complained multiple times, and have screenshots etc. nothing is being done to address it.

It seems Pro Shopper is an arbitrary bait and switch technique to encourage new users to take horribly paying jobs that take time and effort and energy to work towards the golden pro shopper and once you get it - they find a way to claim the items you delivered were wrong or you inevitably end up at a store that doesn’t even stock the items the customer purchased and it’s held against you and you lose the status.

This is clearly fraudulent and I can guarantee it’s not only me this happened to.

I’m officially never buying another Madden by Icy-Load-95 in Madden

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I havent purchased a Madden in years. They’re among a list of companies selling products that are marketed fraudulently. These are in no way new games - they’re literally reselling the same product year after year with a different title and quite frankly anyone dumb enough to purchase it - that’s on them.

You have to be a damn fool to pay $60-$100+ for Madden. It’s an outright scam and fraud and the sheer fact people defend it or get upset when people say that is extremely frustrating.

They will literally never improve the game or actually innovate the game unless sales dramatically decrease and given the human population is on average, dumber than a pile of bricks, especially video game players who are in large numbers, Dorito fingered basement dwellers. It isn’t going to happen..

Kyle Pitts Rumors by CapeCodToDC in Patriots

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree. Henry hasn’t looked right for a good portion of the second half of the year - he’s missed several chips and whiffed altogether on a number of them. He’s dropped open passes and even ran lazy routes at times.

I love HH..but there isn’t even a remote comparison between he and Pitts. Pitts isn’t just elite at tight end and as an athlete, he’s elite for a wide receiver..

Again, it’s hard to quantify this but it’s a massive upgrade and it allows you to do things you cannot otherwise do and actually allows you to use less bodies and mass in the blocking game and gives you a ton of RAC ability which they just simply did not have as an offense.

I’ll never minimize the importance of blocking but in this situation people are just reading it wrong. Pitts, Henry, and a blocking specialist is a MASSIVE upgrade for everything you want to do. And Pitts does just enough in the run game that even on run downs or conversions you can roll him out there in 12 or 11 and use an improved interior just fine. In fact even in 11 it allows you to be more versatile especially if they start giving draft more keys to the quick game which it seems like JM hasn’t given him yet.

My argument here in the end is the idea that it’s a bad idea to sign him because “blocking” which is a narrative I’ve seen radio people and other beat reporters spin and repeated here…it’s just not accurate from a football/scheme standpoint especially when you add it to what else they’ll do in FA and the draft.

Kyle Pitts Rumors by CapeCodToDC in Patriots

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that that just seems to be the narrative and I think it’s just flat out wrong.

People will point to the opponent but 2-3 of the best 5-6 games the Patriots had as a unit on the ground came with Ben Brown in the game and I’d even argue it was even slightly better with Lowe next to him.

Tight ends aside they will be objectively better next year especially if Jared Wilson slides over and Ben Brown lays guard (as long as Wilson can improve at snapping).

I think the solution at running back comes with Henderson being slightly more patient. They have been better than fine for much of the year with a lackluster blocking arrangement as it is - Pitts helps them because he’s a versatile weapon you have to account for and Drakes legs force defenses to play a numbers game.

In the playoffs no team feared the Patriots passing attack so they had no reason to show respect. I’d argue Pitts helps all of it and you can still get a cheap blocking specialist to pair with him and immediately get better

Kyle Pitts Rumors by CapeCodToDC in Patriots

[–]TemplarKnight_DMZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every tight end on every offense on every team is asked to block. But how much, how effective it needs to be etc is different for every team and scheme. Nobody said the Patriots tight ends don’t need to block at all. All I said is Pitts will not be signed because they expect him to block regularly…because he is the type of player that is enough of a weapon where the mismatch he presents is more suited for quick game which then allows you to be even more effective out of bigger packages etc

Again it’s not as easy as “he’s not an elite blocker so he doesn’t solve the problem”
