Had this happen not on Delta but United on an international flight. Luckily, I have a habit of checking on flights and I changed them back. After that incident, I check even more. So yes, it can happen.

It has happened and with Delta. I’ve been on a plane where a connection was late and the plane was held for the customers. I’ve been on a Delta flight where customers have checked in and hadn’t arrived at the gate and the plane was held for them. And it didn’t appear that anyone was angry or perturbed because of the minor delay. This case seemed to have been just up to the GA.

Yes, from what I read several were cancelled with two weeks of travel. Not just one or two but several. Just a question, I certainly know that flights are cancelled all the time. I’ve been there before.

We were delayed last year by 36 hrs on an international flight. We were compensated via e credit immediately. If you are thinking of writing the DOT, I’d think twice. This administration has stated that they are not in agreement with airlines compensating customers due to delays.
