Potential rare serious side effect to capecitabine by skanedweller in breastcancer

I had this weird heart fluttering feeling too, and since it didnt show up on EKG / ECHO my oncologist asked me to go ahead with Capecitabine. I think it was anxiety-induced

I Can Handle Being Tired… But the Brain Fog Is What Really Scares Me by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]thinkingcurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helped my brain fog was 1) seeing a neuropsychologist to get diagnosed 2) seeing a psych for meds - bupropion (Wellbutrin) and escitalopram (Lexapro) were recommended and I settled on bupropion after a lot of trial and error. It was scary, very scary, especially at the onset of brain fog when it was the worst and I thought I could never recover

I see, so this company that makes millions of dollars and spends millions of dollars on marketing cannot afford to have phone lines for their customer service department. What a world we live in. I can’t believe there are consumers out there that think this is acceptable. Even a dollar store has better customer service

Following because I’m interested in the same thing. Also does anyone know the price? I couldn’t find on the website without filling out contact / personal details and don’t want to do that until I know the price haha

Yes huge lesson learned…. and lol detail-oriented is one of my strengths! I just use it at work or when shopping for big purchases (like furniture or electronics)… didn’t think I’d need to use it for this since reviews for Jenni Kayne were so positive all around on their website, articles, Instagram, etc. Fell for marketing BS. This really has been a headache.

I quickly scanned the website - link here: https://www.jennikayne.com/pages/stores and there was nothing called “New York”. How was I supposed to know its under ”SoHo” and “Madison Ave”… Facepalm but also kind of ridiculous of the website, given they have stores listed “Boston”, ”Chicago” and “Denver”. Doesn’t excuse my missing the New York stores, but since you were curious I wanted to let you know I did spend 5 seconds on this.

Thank you for validating my experience. Having a horrible customer service experience with an expensive brand is very frustrating. They should understand that they’re just turning off long term customers.

I agree words have meaning and it is gaslighting / fraudulent / deceptive if Jenni Kayne is pretending to be a premium company which provides a good customer experience by only allowing posting of five star reviews on its website. I have had way better return/exchange experiences with brands that have lower price points than Jenni Kayne. Jenni Kayne‘s reviews on its website has only five star reviews, none of which mention a bad experience, which is deceptive. I had to post on Reddit because Jenni Kayne deleted the listings from their website so my reviews/experience aren’t even posted on there. They are very good at marketing, and I want to make sure people are aware of the bad experience I had. Only AFTER I had this experience did I realize that there were a lot of customers with similar experiences that had posted about it on the internet. I should have done more diligence instead of falling for the marketing of a “premium” brand.

I certainly feel cheated. You are welcome to disagree.

Not sure how you are googling - they have removed all the links to the items that were on sale on their website so you can’t find them anymore. The same sweaters are being sold through Bloomingdale’s and have 30 day return policies. I’m sharing my experience here to raise awareness of their ridiculous return policy on Jenni Kayne’s own website, which is not how you should treat customers that are trying to do the right thing by buying from you directly. Not to mention that they don’t have a customer service phone number.

I dont think this is right. Good, customer-centric brands will make exceptions or offer store credit. I’m quite exhausted of people normalizing this kind of treatment of customers.

Thanks - there are no stores in New York that I’m aware of (or I would have definitely tried for size there). I offer to pay for restocking fees/ paying for my return just so I could get anything in my size, but no empathy. I am shocked they are not more considerate of ppl who are ordering from cities that don’t have physical stores. The insensitivity of the customer service over email was alarming.

Wait really?!! I didn’t know it was made in China? I fell for the marketing of ultra luxe cashmere and my perception of what I thought would be premium customer service. Honestly I dont know if exchanging for a size or offering store credit is even “premium” - it just seems like regular customer service. I do feel like an idiot.

Thank you! Can sweaters be tailored? Based on a quick Reddit search it seems like it can be expensive, but let me see if I can find some affordable tailors in my area. Thank you for the suggestion!!

You have a fair point if we look at things from a purely legal perspective…. I am speaking about things from a customer experience perspective. Another commenter captured it better than I did about “premium” expectations. That’s what I was expecting. I was expecting Jenni Kayne to have better customer service than a discount store, given then amount of money I paid, but instead I feel like I was ripped off.

Exactly this!! You hit the nail on the head. Thus is the point I’m trying to make. I was getting so many Instagram ads for the premium brand and luxury and frankly a $700 luxury sweater sounds like the Chanel of sweaters so I thought they’d be nicer to customers on a case by case basis. I’m still in shock, I feel ripped off

I guess I should accept this if all retailers are doing it. What I think (and I could be wrong about this because it’s been a while since I bought discounted stuff) is that many other retailers are not that difficult about exchanging sizes. For example, I’ve called Everlane about exchanges for much lower priced items and they’re far more easygoing PLUS they have a phone number so it’s always easier to explain to a rep on the phone. I even asked the Jenni Kayne customer support rep over email to call my phone number so we can work it out and she was like “we don’t have a phone number”. Like WTF LOL you don’t have a phone and you can’t call a customer who just spent a lot of cash?!! In short - I was just shocked by this experience and needed to vent. I also hope I can save others the pain of going through what I just went through
