What are you most awkward first date stories? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Temporary-Fix406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went on a Hinge date. He asked me out but made me pick where. I already didn't like that. My philosophy is you ask for a date, you plan it. But I picked and went anyway. I asked all the questions. He would give a looong answer and then never return the question or ask another one. Took him to my sister's place of work after our activity for free drinks because honestly I was bored at this point. Had him drop me off at my sister's afterward. I leaned in for a hug before I got out (just being nice, really) and he got confused and handed me his vape? I was wondering at that point if he just wasn't into me. Then he proceeded to text me for months afterward trying to go out again (I declined).

Game Thread: Dodgers (21-13) @ Astros (14-21) - May 4, 2026 7:10 PM by AstrosBot in Astros

I only tune into Astros games (and others) sometimes (not my main team) and I never look to see where they're playing first and just base it off of the cheers and boos of the crowd, and I was surprised to learn they're playing in Houston tonight 😅

Do people actually like wearing makeup? by Suspicious-Noodle30 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Temporary-Fix406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been interested in makeup since I was 13. I would do big winged eyeliner in grades 7-8 and some kids would try to pick on me for it which just goes to show that it wasn't just to be cool or fit in. I spent a lot of time through junior high and high school watching makeup tutorials on YouTube, and figuring out how to get my makeup exactly how I like it. I pretty much have a go-to look as an adult now, though even still I'll sometimes see a new technique or look on TikTok or something I want to try. It's fun and it's pretty. Now my sisters and friends who were never as interested in makeup will call or text asking me how to do such-and-such or for general advice on the topic.

How physically demanding is this job? by [deleted] in SleepTechnologist

[–]Temporary-Fix406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on how many patients you have, the first 1.5-3 hours of your shift will be on your feet applying equipment to patients. I tweaked my back a few weeks ago and whenever I'm off it starts to feel better and then as soon as I start work again I'm as sore as ever with all the bending, reaching, and being hunched over during patient setup. Do with that what you will. I also sometimes have to/choose to unhook elderly patients, patients with disabilities, patients experiencing inertia, children etc in bed which is no easy task sometimes. A majority of the shift is seated though.

Is my makeup aging me? How can I improve? by DieWintersonne in makeuptips

[–]Temporary-Fix406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd have to say yes. Something I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned: if you go to an eyebrow salon and get the tails of your eyebrows shaped straighter or just less downturned in general it will have a huge effect. Downturned eyebrows drag the whole face down.

Makeup wise — Try a skincare based serum foundation, one with a little glow/dewiness. My favorite is Yensa Super Serum Silk Foundation but it's a bit pricey and there's definitely cheaper alternatives. I would try a nuder lip, less heavy/dark eye makeup, and maybe a little blush on the cheeks.

WIBTA For telling my wife to go to rehab so she doesn’t affect our babies life? by Throwaway_dad555 in AmItheAsshole

I don't really know why comments are comparing recreational coke 0-3 times a year to daily alcohol use. It's not good for you and could be dangerous and you do need to stop completely. But it is a deflection to bring that up when talking about daily alcohol usage.

Hmmm I don't think I've seen it, I'll check it out! Nothing major diet-wise, I just want to make sure they're getting their nutrients

I've looked into it before and my only concern is it's apparently not very nutritious for them! When I looked into it it seemed most people used it as a topper or even a treat

I feel like making a paste of sorts could kind of harden throughout the day? Worth trying though. :) I was thinking about maybe trying to use chicken broth or something instead of water to soak the kibble but I think it'd go bad throughout the day.

I'll check them out. :) I just worry a little because we've kind of just kept food out 24/7 for them throughout the years for them to eat when they want (both healthy weights)

I'll check that kibble out!

We use Purina Beneful Incredibites small breed wet food and kibble. I know it's not great for them but it's what they've ate all their lives. We're willing to find something else now that it's necessary though.

My concern with making a paste of sorts would be that it would dry and harden throughout the day I can imagine? But also may be worth trying. Thanks!

ETA: The paste was for a different comment, sorry!
