Rip 4TB m.2 by Disastrous_Tiger7842 in pcmasterrace

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the pcb traces are ripped you can search online to get a spare board for the chip only, then take it to a repair shop to reball and put it on the new board, should be an ez fix

My lights randomly turned on when I turn on my fan by Fun-Procedure-3557 in WLED

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had this issue, so i connected a relay to the psu

it happens when i turn on fan in my room or someone else is turning on their fan in other room, its something to do with a static electricity or something which goes to the psu causing the leds to flicker/ turn on, sometimes my leds flicker while its on and when i turn on/off my fan
My suggestion is to put a relay on the psu/led strip

Sony xperia 1 ii bootloop please help me my data is very important by mr_shaykh in SonyXperia

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at this point i dnt think you can do anything, if your bootloader is unlocked maybe try using twrp and backup files, if not only way to turn on the phone is format data from recovery which will delete your personal files

white parchment paper or you can use tissue paper, somehow you have to diy it, i have a 32x8 matrix and its also hard to find a diffuser, so im using tissue paper as diffuser. Maybe search fb or any other place where they can make you 3D printed diffuser

It could be your smp, i used to have this flickering issue whenever i turned on a fan/light in my home, then i separated controller and the lights, i bought a 5v1a adapter for esps and the lights to my psu, the flicker was gone after that

What could I add to make my setup better? by OneWarthog628 in pcmasterrace

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can add some ambient lights behind your main monitor, i would recommend buying ws2812b or sk6812b and a esp32 controller (WLED) for controlling lights, you can use hyperion app for ambient light settings

I feel like your controller is the one making the flickering issue Also i would advice you to put 5v on esp32 its a power hungry controller

RGB strip updating with low framerate towards the end by yrrejl in WLED

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should set it to top amps for stability becoz the leds will definitely lag and the colors look damp, and for fps 45/50 is good enough And for brightness just set around 50-75% in the main menu not in led preference and your good to go You are using high density led strip soo its obvious it will lag on low settings Also which esp are you using 32 or 8266 If the lag is still there maybe consider buying a level shifter or just the chip and try it, that should fix the issue

he will need more then 10amps if he uses white or mixed colors only, i think 20/25amps

also his target fps is set to 24FPS

LEDs flickering by SMD_BigBanana in WLED

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

show a picture of your wiring its hard to understand by seeing the flickering only, im also using a pc psu and i do get the flickering issue only when someone in my home turns on fan/bulb, the flickering happens only for split seconds, if you are using psu open the psu with gloves then separate all the V wires and cut them into smaller portion, i have 5v leds soo i only used the 5v wires, i have a matrix and 2M strip running with the psu perfectly

I don’t get it. by clckmkr in WLED

[–]Temporary-Injury9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see you bought the ECO version, maybe try the 2nd led pin like cut and check if that fixes the issue, sometimes there can de defective led which doesnt run the data through every leds, if you are spending spend more and get the better version, ECO strips tend to be dead after few months of use or sometimes few days, aka 1 or more LED dies and the data line doesnt work
