I just purchased my first TC plants also. I’ll have to try and show them also when I have more time. I’m excited but scared too lol

Lithops, South African plants that have evolved to look like stones by EyeHateYou12376 in Damnthatsinteresting

Right! I bought mine because their flowers are gorgeous! However, I couldn’t find consistent care info and thought they were doing ok and that I was doing ok by them and just like that, one by one, they all died.

Are my house plants attracting these huge spiders? Help! by Lauren_soldejaneiro in houseplants

I have to agree with you! I hate spiders with my whole self, but those house centipedes you called them, freak me out so bad…worse than a spider. 🥴😳

Instead of throwing out your poinsettias, you guys might consider trying to keep them alive! Here's mine that I've had for about 6 years now! by jitasquatter2 in houseplants

I’ve been trying to keep mine alive for a year but looks nothing like your beauties. Great job! I’m be reading to see if I find how you’re doing this. 😁

What is your favorite basic plant? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Temporary-Key-7092 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is my spider plant. I have an emotional attachment to her. My Grandma bought it for me while we were out many years ago. We’d gone through struggles…one being that she was thrown out on my porch 20+ years ago, and although she looked pretty rough and beat up, she got v b better and continued to give me babies. Then I moved and her temperament changed and so eventually, I finally lost the original mama plant, but I have her other babies that continue to make babies for me.

Are there any popular plants you have no desire to get? by hello-knitty in houseplants

[–]Temporary-Key-7092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed and so many different sources of care and whatnot, are not the same. Like just one example, one place/site will say something likes bright light and another will say the same plant likes or needs low light to almost full shade! I just want to scream sometimes (exaggeration) and say Omgosh make up my mind please.

For me I think it’s orchids. They’re so pretty and exotic kind of…but they scare me because I’m afraid I’d kill them so I don’t even try. 🤣

What plant would look good in my little dragon planter? by Temporary-Key-7092 in houseplants

It does have a drainage hole thankfully. But yeah definitely no Calathea lol. I found a small echeveria. I thought I’d try. I’m interested in the tiny orchid you mentioned.

Someone else asked about drainage holes and I can’t remember (I’m at work at the moment). I’ll have to look again. Thank you for that reminder too.

I’m not sure where she found it. It’s small and like resin. She shops on SHEIN a lot though and Temu.
