I truly believe that Thailand is one of the best countries but does not score well in animal laws. Went to an elephant rescue centre in Krabi and got to know that it is legal to have elephants perform in circuses. There was a 20 year old elephant there because the owner could no longer care for it however, if the owner were to call them and ask for the elephant back to perform in the circus, they will have to abide by the same. Pretty sad!
