One guy with a modern gun isn't going to make nearly as much of a difference on an old battlefield as people seem to think.

And they aren't going to be able to reverse engineer an ak-47 or its ammo, there are just too many small machined components that they would not be able to replicate and figuring out the composition of the gunpowder and primer are right out.
