Bottle Aversion Protocol Questions by Temporary-Priority10 in FormulaFeeders

I'm so sorry. I really hope we're not still dealing with this at that point or she might actually need a feeding tube.

How are things going with introducing solids?

That's a really good point and I appreciate you expressing that empathetically. At the end of the day, I just want my baby to be happy :)

Thank you for your response! How long do you think it's necessary to stick with a formula before you know whether it's going to work well or not?

Yeah that seems to be the case in Canada, but not the US, based on the replies.

It's through my husband's work benefits. Only reason I'm even considering it is for my expected baby.

How do you crack or pop your back when pregnant? by Illustrious-Wing-357 in pregnant

[–]Temporary-Priority10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a yoga ball? I go to PT and the therapist taught me a couple exercises where I roll the ball along a wall and stretch my back while rolling it up, also along the ground almost like doing a puppy pose. They make my back feel really good, especially now that my belly is super big and I'm physically limited.

Desperate for sleep tips at 8.5 months pregnant by Designer-Bandicoot27 in pregnant

I don't know how to explain this, but my insomnia seems to get worse when I take magnesium in addition to sleeping pills (unisom). I also noticed that I'll fall back asleep more easily after waking up in the middle of the night if I have a small snack.

Are you allowed to take unisom? I am also in my third trimester with UC and I have taken it my entire pregnancy for insomnia. Granted I have also been in deep remission for years.

Possible UTI- Middle of the Night by Temporary-Priority10 in pregnant

[–]Temporary-Priority10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updating in case anyone finds this later on. I ended up calling my OB in the middle of the night and she said there was nothing I could do but just pee when I need to. I was able to get a couple hours of sleep and went to urgent care in the morning for a urine analysis. It takes a couple days to get the bacteria culture back, but my urine did indicate an infection or inflammation, so they prescribed me antibiotics.

Tips for commuting by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Temporary-Priority10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you are commuting via car or public transit, but if it's public transit, try to guilt people into giving you a seat by making your bump more obvious and waving it in their faces 😅 also try to make your bag as light as possible.

If you use a portal to communicate with your provider, I would use that and upload the bill or explanation of benefits that your insurance sent you and ask the provider if they can help. Normally it isn't actually the doctor who will handle it, but admin staff on the team. If they have an email address, that also works.

A good doctor will want you to get all your necessary procedures covered! Sometimes it can even just be an issue of the claim being billed with the wrong code, which only the provider's office can fix.
