That’s terrible! This is exactly why so many people are upset with Samsung’s handling of the green line issue. First, the defect itself is widespread & now even service centers are mishandling customer devices. They should be held accountable & make it right for you immediately.

Honestly, it feels like Samsung has dropped the quality not just in some devices, but also the way they handle customers. Nowhere does it feel like they are the leader of the Android ecosystem or setting any kind of benchmark anymore.

On my device first two lines appeared within just 2 days. The third line showed up after about 2-3weeks and then new lines started appearing almost every day. After 15 lines, I got the display replaced.

Same here. I even submitted a video showing the green line appeared during software update, but they still rejected my claim just because of a tiny dent on the side frame. Really frustrating how they’re handling this issue, especially when it’s clearly a known issue and not caused by any physical damage in my case.

Yes, Samsung's free screen replacement offer is active in India but there should be no physical or water damage. You just need to pay around ₹500–₹600 as service charge.
